Interaction with Guests
With a private room and shared living space you can choose to interact as much or little as you like with other guests. You will share a bath with one other room if the adjacent room is booked as well. The outdoor space is always there for you as well.
The area is Jefferson Park and a very friendly walkable neighborhood, full of active citizens walking dogs around most days. There is a high school a block down so in the fall you might want to take in the culture of a local high school football game. THe band is worth it if nothing else!!
A bus runs thru the neighborhood only 3 blocks from the house and takes you straight to the train station OR you can choose to just walk to the train station. It is less than a mile from the house. Plenty of free street parking around the house makes it easy to have a car here as well. Please, in Atlanta, it is not a good idea to leave belongings in your car, though.
It's a wonderful experience for me.
Joe picked me up from subway station, and we had a pleasant conversation.
The guests are mutual respective, and the house is quiet inside and outside, meets my 1st requirement.
Everything is good, and I will come back again if I need to take early flight.
Margie was extremely welcoming and provided several recommendations of things to do around the city. The bed was very comfortable and the whole house was spotless. It was my brother and my birthday week and she left us delicious cupcakes when we got back at night- so thoughtful and sweet (pun intended)! In the morning, she offered coffee, tea and pastries. There was a train station nearby but my brother and I decided to take ubers instead. They cost $15-30 depending on surge pricing but we were fine with that since the room was so affordable. This was a great place to stay!
Margie and Joe are incredible people, it's obvious they truly enjoy hosting people at their home.
The living room, bedroom and bathroom were spotless. The bed and pillows were comfy.
Whenever I come back to Atlanta this is the place where I want to stay, totally recommended.
Margie is a magnificent host! Her place, accommodations, location are wonderful and comfortable. She goes beyond the call of duty to make people feel at home and work with later-than-usual arrivals. My significant other, Will, stayed at Margie's and she was willing to work with both of us to make it all come together nicely. Will would most definitely stay at Margie's place again!
My partner and I loved staying with Margie! She was very welcoming and the place was super funky. The shared space was cozy and our bedroom and shared bath were spotless. Both her recommendations for food and activities completely knocked it out of the park. For this being my first Airbnb experience, I couldn't have asked for better.
This was my first Airbnb, and I was so lucky to stay at Margie's. It is clean, warm and Margie is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She made me feel comfortable and welcomed, always happy to help and providing me with whatever I needed.
It was nice how she provides hot coffee and breakfast bars every morning, checks-in to see how you are doing and whether you need anything. Her dogs are also one of the most adorable balls of happy-energy. I loved my stay here, and for those of you who are taking the USMLE Step 2 CS, I highly recommend this place as it is also very close to the airport and the testing center.
Thank you again for a wonderful experience Margie! :)
When we arrived, Margie greeted us with a warm welcome and her partner Joe helped bring our bags in. They gave us a quick overview of the house and let us get settled in. After our room was all set we relaxed with the hosts over a nice beer and chatted for a while getting to know each other.
In the morning there was a variety of delicious teas available for the guests as well as coffee made and breakfast bars set out. Unfortunately we were only able to stay for one night, but would have loved to stay longer if possible, especially because of how comfy the beds were.
Overall It was a fantastic experience for my first time ever using airbnb and I would recommend it for anyone else staying in the Atlanta area.

I have worked with organic farmers all around Atlanta and the Georgia area so I love supporting local eating. Currently I am a real estate agent focusing on helping owner occupants find a great deal in the foreclosure market here. I also host travelers like yourself in our home.
I am a native Atlantan but I have lived all over: New York City, Indiana, Greece, Nashville, and even Florida so chances are if you are traveling thru the US, I can introduce you to new friends if you like. Worked in the entertainment (film and music) industry, and the restaurant business before starting my veggie delivery service. I have always planned to one day run an urban bed and breakfast and I have been keeping great notes of what makes for great stays and not-so-great stays from my own travels. Help me out! Come see how my hostess skills are doing! I will always be up for a coffee in the morning or a glass of wine or cup of tea in the evening to help you plan your own itinerary, if you like. One thing I enjoy when I travel is a "little bit" of help from my host... and a lot of time on my own. We can visit if you are up for it ... or not. ;)
