Lovely bedroom in a large house in Kinvara village Co Galway. The rate is for room only but you have full use of our kitchen and living areas. The shopping areas...pubs, restaurants and cafes are a 2 minute walk from our house. We are central to the Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Ailwee Caves, Aran Islands and only a half hour drive from Galway city.
This large bedroom has ensuite shower and toilet.
Thanks so much for a wonderful stay in this lovely family home. Susanne organised for Teresa to meet us at the house and it felt very much like home from the minute we stepped into the warmth. She even booked a table at the best hotel in town for a good steak. Although we were not long in Kinvarra, we enjoyed this picturesque harbour town on the edge of the wild Burren . The house has a lovely conservatory and we were lucky to have some sunshine as we ate breakfast. We really enjoyed hearing the sweetness of the birdsong in this lovely place. Thank you. Situated right near the center of Kinvara and only 30 minutes from Galway this place is an excellent choice for travelers who want to be in a small town but close enough to the city. In addition The Burren is just down the road and the cliffs of moher is only an hour drive. The house it self has everything you would be looking for in a long term stay.
Susanne and Teresa were very accommodating and friendly during our one-night stay. It's a beautiful home, and I wish we could have stayed for longer. It's a wonderful little town. The only drawback is that it takes about 30min to get into Galway by cab from the house (35 euro each way).
Our stay in Kinvara was incredible. My boyfriend and I did not really know ahead of time where to stay around Galway and we chose this place because it seemed charming and the price was right. We could not have been happier! Kinvara itself is an incredibly lovely town outside of Galway and a perfect location for getting into the city of Galway and the Cliffs of Moher, to name just a couple of places we visited. Almost immediately upon arriving, we decided that we had to spend one more night than we originally planned. Susanne was incredibly accommodating and readily allowed us to stay a third night. The house is amazing and huge - the pictures really do not do it justice. We were especially charmed by the beautiful woodwork throughout. My boyfriend and I rented a car and drove up there from Dublin and got lost on the way. Because of that, we arrived much later than anticipated and so no one was able to be there to greet us. Theresa, the woman who was going to meet us, was very understanding and left us the key in a secure, but accessible, location and helpful notes to welcome and orient us to the home. We look forward to coming back there again and bringing more of our family to enjoy this beautiful home and town.
We had one of the best times, hands down, no question in Kinvara. The town is amazing. We visited all the local pubs, if you stay here go to Tulleys and say Pa (Patrick) sent you (he is Patrick Tulley, the namesake, he lives just next door) and go to Greenes, they have an incredibly selection of whiskeys. Teresa met us and gave us a tour of the house, it was warm and smelled amazing! It is literally right around the corner from the main street. She rec. us an amazing place where we went for dinner. The house is HUGE! The pictures do not do it justice!! I seriously can't recommended a stop in Kinvara more if you are traveling around Ireland and this house is amazing!
We spent two nights in this lovely house, that it's bigger and nicer than it looks in the pictures. It is situated in a quiet village and from there you can visit Galway and Moher's cliffs.
The house has everything you need (including a sauna): TV, microwave, oven, dishwasher and plenty of space with a lovely living room.
A good choice if you are planning a trip to the East of Ireland!
Exactly as the picture shows. Beautiful little quaint town. House was a bit chilly and the shower was not that great. Otherwise, a very worthy stay!
Pictures don't do this house justice - it is spacious and incredibly clean and tidy. We loved staying here - Susannah was very friendly and helpful and gave us a great recommendation for dinner - the Pier Head. Just around the corner from her house are loads of pubs and places to eat - we spent the evening in Connollys listening to some great Irish trad music.
I heartily recommend Susanne's charming home in Kinvara. We could not have been happier there. The location was perfect, the setting serene. We could walk to town and the seaside as well as park our rental car in the driveway. Susanne's home is very clean and very comfortable for a family; so comfortable we had to remind ourselves to go outside! She made us feel completely welcome and without a doubt we will one day return!
Susanne is a warm-hearted and generous host. Her cozy home is very centrally located in the village of Kinvara. She has some great restaurant recommendations and wonderful books about the Burren area. It was a great, peaceful place.
