Definitely very good value for the amount that we paid. Jonny & Michelle were very friendly and eager to help us regarding any local information. They arranged transfer for us from Kalibo airport as well, which we were very glad about as that took the stress out of airport transfer. Room was relatively clean, comfortable bed, aircon worked well, and TV was in the room. Drinking water was also provided so that allowed us to save $$$, And use it on catching tricycles. Jonny taught us how to catch tricycles like the locals did and avoid being ripped off by tourist prices which helped a lot. Only con was that the house was not close to main area, but that was a pro for us as we wanted to see how locals live! :)
Thanks Jonny & Michelle for your warm hospitality!
Very pleasant stay, jonathan and his wife are very friendly, his daughter is very cute! Next time we go to Boracay to see them.
We spend 18 days in Boracay, at Jon and Michele's house and we enjoyed it very much. The house was clean and quiet, sheets were changed and the room was cleaned twice a week. Jon and Michele were nice and helpful. They let us use the kitchen. We spent all our days at the Bulabog beach to kite. Take about 10 mins with tricycle to go to D Mall or 30 mins by foot along the beach. We recommend the place for its price and good value. Thanks for everything. Nathalie and Pascal.
My stay in Boracay was wonderful, 11 days with the sun and our host Michelle was very welcome. White beach is very beautiful and I liked walking every day throughout the 4 kilometers of white sand.Thank you so much Michelle for your hospitality, your kindness, for the time spent in your company. You made us discover the beauty of Boracay, I will keep an unforgettable memory of all those wonderful moments with you and Zoe I kiss affectionately. Those 11 days in your beautiful house were too short, I hope we will come again longer. Also thanks to Johnny your husband for having lent me his motor bike. Cordialy. John and Jim Marry
Our stay in the place was a great experience! Michelle lives there with her daughter and they are a lovely family! Michelle is super friendly and was kind enough to even share some of her delicious cooking with us! It's an experience of staying with a local family, and is not like a hotel at all. It very much feels like a home. We were welcome to use the kitchen. The bathroom is shared with the second guest room people, but we rarely saw the other guest. Jonathan kindly booked a transfer company to meet us and smoothly take us all the way to drop us off at the door of this place. This was much easier than trying to work out transport and boat tickets and taxis to get to their house. Because it is a house, and not a hotel, it is a little bit off the beaten track. This means that you are living up in an area with locals, not other tourists. Great for the life experience, great photos, friendly people everywhere. It's about 10 mins motorbike/ tricycle taxi ride to the main tourist hub (AUD$0.05 each!- only pay 20pesos each or you're being ripped off), and easy to get transport. There is a friendly dog that lives next door who always wanted to jump up and give 'kisses' when we came and went from the house, and the path up to the house is short but steep and can be a little slippery but was totally okay (maybe not for those with really bad knees/hips). Water pressure in the shower is good early in the mornings and at night, the room has good aircon and we were comfortable- we are very easygoing anyway. Staying here was good, not slick and snazzy like a hotel but a perfectly lovely and comfortable home stay experience with plenty of privacy and the opportunity to keep to yourself if you want to. Michelle also provided lots of local knowledge about places to go and local prices. Thanks for having us! :)
