Right in the heart of the city, this cosy, functional, stylish room is just a 10 minute walk from London Bridge and The Shard, and a stones throw from Borough Market. With your own private entrance, and access to the rest of this magnificent town house this room offers a wonderful way to experience life in central London, and is perfect place to stay for those wanting something more personal than, but with all the details and comforts of, a hotel.
If you are looking for all of the comforts of a central London luxury hotel, but also want the benefit of all the inside knowledge of an enthusiastic London host, at a fraction of the cost of a comparable room in a hotel - then you have found what you are looking for!
This is probably the largest and highest quality property on Airbnb in London! Your hosts travel for the majority of the year and know well what makes a great hotel stay, so we work hard to recreate that in our own home for you as our guests.
YOUR PRIVATE QUARTERS
Your room and bathroom are located on the lower ground floor, which can be accessed via a private entrance. The entire floor is at your disposal, so you can enjoy some privacy. On your floor you will also find a utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, which you are welcome to use.
We've provided a mini fridge, and a Nespresso machine just for you, so that all your essentials are at hand.
Bedroom – The bedroom suite is 130 sq ft (12 sq m) in size and has its own entrance area and separate shower room. It gets plenty of natural light coming through the beautiful wooden sash windows, though of course, if you are having a lie-in you can block this out completely using the double layered blinds.
There's a King sized bed with a deep 3" goose down topper, and 500 thread count bed sheets. There's plenty of storage space with a large wardrobe, set of drawers and luggage rack, as well as a full-length mirror.
The room comes complete with an iPad so that you can control the in-ceiling surround sound system, enabling you to play any music ever made or almost every radio station around the world directly to your bed. The iPad also allows you to plan your itinerary or check the house manual to answer most questions that you may have about the room or your stay.
There is also a flat-screen TV with integrated DVD player and 50MB high speed wireless internet throughout the house.
We've provided a bone china tea set (according to tea people this apparently keeps tea hotter for longer!), a kettle, a selection of teas (Peppermint, Organic Green, Every day, Wild Berry, Earl Grey, Chamomile) and caramel biscuits.
A range of interesting books on London should provide you with entertainment & inspiration (should you ever get stuck for something to do!)
On your bed awaits a gift box containing a welcome pack, your set of keys, towelled slippers, and some other surprise items we thought you'd like for a great stay.
Ensuite – Villeroy & Boch sanitary ware with luxurious oversized rainshower, marble shelving and a vanity unit which provides ample space for your toiletries, mirror, and shaving socket with both UK & US voltage. Two fluffy towels, and two bath robes, bath mats, fine Scottish hand wash and hand cream are also provided.
Note: Please note that the bedroom is located very close to the utility room, however we will not use it at night or in any way that disturbs you or creates any noise.
As our guest you have access to our townhouse, set in a gated mews, between two Grade II listed Georgian squares and amongst calm leafy streets in what is affectionately referred to as Trinity Village - a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of the Borough area in the Heart central London and just 2 minutes walk from the Tube.
The house is over 4000 sq ft (370 sq m) in size and spans four floors elegantly designed for grand living, with tall ceilings, stonewashed ivory oak flooring, floor to ceiling sash windows and an enclosed private garden. We have lovingly decorated our home with artwork and photography from our travels around the world, as well as those very special items that make it feel like home and reflect the area's British heritage.
This listing offers the entire lower ground floor of the house privately for your use, comprising a 130 sq ft (12 sq m) bedroom with a king sized bed, adjoining private ensuite bathroom and your own separate entrance into the property. It offers excellent privacy whilst you also have the benefit of coming upstairs and making full use of the garden and hot tub!
The apartment is located in the heart of central London, just a two minute walk from the nearest tube stop, perfectly located for both tourists and business guests.

Reception Area – a 725sq ft (67 sq m) space, includes a log fire, stonewashed ivory oak flooring, and floor to ceiling double glazed sash windows looking out onto the beautiful garden. With two mirrored skylights above the dining table, the room provides loads of natural light. The space is furnished with a seating area that comfortably seats 6-8, surrounding a coffee table with an eclectic selection of books and board games for everyone.
Dining Area – The dining area forms part of the reception room and has a specially designed and commissioned dining table and with colourful Fritz Hansen chairs to seat seven.
Kitchen – a fully equipped, large and open plan British handmade Mark Wilkinson kitchen, with huge granite worktop surfaces, two separate sinks and integrated breakfast bar. There is also a large 5 point gas hob, one grill, two large ovens, dishwasher, an ‘American sized' fridge/freezer, microwave and even a plate warming oven. There is also ample crockery, cutlery and glassware. All we ask is that you try to use the kitchen when the other residents in the house are not.
Garden – 860 sq ft (80 sq m) urban garden, complete with a hot tub, outdoor shower, BBQ, dining table and chairs and plenty of planting, enables you to bubble away in the hot tub with views of Europe's tallest building, whilst feeling a world away from the city in your private garden oasis.
Interaction with Guests
Three of us live in the house, myself (Jamie), Justin and Juan. We're often at home in the evenings and we all enjoy and good conversation. We all have fairly demanding jobs, so we like to relax in the evenings. We have a Beagle X Foxhound called Jack. He's incredibly friendly, loves to play and cuddle, but please let us know if you'd prefer us to keep him out of your way.
Jamie welcomes interaction and loves to meet and chat to all guests when he isn't away himself. He does travel extensively and so may not be around for your stay, but will always maintain contact with you to ensure that you have a great time!
Located in the very heart of London, within the fashionable Borough area, which centres around Borough Market. The market is now the 3rd most popular tourist attraction in London and is described by Time Out London as a 'foodies' paradise' with an array of fantastic quality restaurants and food stalls.
A leisurely walk along the river from Borough Market opens up the South Bank, the cultural heart of London, home to some of its most iconic attractions including the London Eye, TATE Modern, Design Museum, HMS Belfast, Royal Festival Hall, British Film Institute cinemas and the National Theatre.
The townhouse is within minutes of London's newest iconic landmark: the Shard - designed by acclaimed architect Renzo Piano, this is Western Europe's tallest building, where you can experience an astonishing 360 degree view of London from 244m above ground.
Some further exploration on the weekend around the historic railway arches in the nearby Bermondsey Street antiques area will reveal London's newest foodie secret: Maltby Street and Ropewalk market, a lively street market with a combination of stalls, under-arch shops, pop-up bars and eateries.
