About this listing
It is Paraiso - paradise! Our stylish & comfortable one bedroom studio unit has a relaxed feeling.
The villa is separate to the main house, and has private entry via a side lane. Although the pool and spa are shared with the house, the backyard is relatively private.
Paraiso is fully self-contained. It has a dish-washer, full size fridge, hot plates, microwave and basic amenities with a Caesar stone topped kitchen.
The lounge/bedroom area has an Italian leather twin reclining lounge, TV with DVD player, ipod dock station, comfortable queen size bed, with views over the pool through cedar shutters.
There is a console table made from frozen Indian railway sleepers and stainless steel. This eating area and writing area overlooks the azure pool.
The bathroom is exquisite. The shower area has two facilities - a rain-head and a hand held shower. A large window in the shower recess overlooks a water feature.
Italian handmade floor tiles have been used throughout the unit.
The unit is equipped with reverse air-conditioning. It is tastefully decorated with many paintings and artwork from Mexico and Northern Territory.
There is an outdoor BBQ for the use of guests, with table and chairs beside the pool.
It's an invitation to tranquility on the Coffs Coast.
Interaction with Guests
We have limited interaction with our guests.
Urunga has much to offer the visitor. There are several walks close to Paraiso that follow the river. The boardwalk is a 5 minute walk. This boardwalk is one of the longest in Australia. It connects the "city" and the surf!
The rivers meet at Urunga before going out to sea.
Anchors Wharf Cafe, on the river, opens at 8.00 each morning for breakfast, coffee or lunch. Dinner on some nights.
Dorrigo national park has many beautiful rainforest walks.
Bellingen is only 10 minutes by car. It offers a nostalgic step back to a peaceful town of cafés and gift shops.
Coffs Harbour has the Big Banana and the Jetty Foreshores.
You can walk along our beach to Hungry Head (only patrolled surf beach in Urunga) and further to Valla - but take a good picnic snack!
Whilst we are within walking distance to the facilities of Urunga and the beach, a car is required to experience the local area. There is limited bus transportation to Coffs Harbour.
Entry to Paraiso is from Coopers Lane. The gate is to be closed at all times.
Parking is available outside the gate.
Bundy, the house Labrador, is kept in the front yard. Only dogs are permitted as pets, and prior notice is required. Dogs are not allowed in the unit (as this is against health regulations, and it compromises the unit for people with allergies). Smoking is not permitted inside the unit.
Guests are not permitted to entertain other "guests". The unit is to accommodate a maximum of two persons.
Whilst the BBQ is available for guests, the outside kitchen and seating area is private.
This was a lovely place to stay. Denise provides everything you need to be comfortable and goes the extra mile. Bed was super comfortable after a long day driving.
Denise was a lovely host with great communication.
The studio is beautifully finished with great attention to detail.
The bed was sooooo comfortable.
Denise welcomed us and made sure we had essentials and some local information to find our way around.
This is a hotel quality accomodation. We couldn't spend much time in Urunga, but we did have a good night sleep. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Well I'm still trying to fault it. Ok, the spa thingy wasn't in our bedroom...there found 1 drawback.
Sadly we did have to look at the family boat in our driveway for the duration our 3 day stay. We thought it was a bit of bugger that Denise or Steve didn't leave the keys in the ignition. What a tease!!!!!
Loved our little paraiso. I'd highly recommend it to anyone with a pulse:)
Marina with 1st & only hubby, Roger.
Paraiso was the perfect little home away from home for my overnight stay in Urunga.
