The Space

Our immense, stunning industrial loft is the epitome of Brooklyn living: Enjoy our giant windows overlooking the ENTIRE Manhattan skyline, nightly sunsets, tons of handmade creative details, a convenient location and a vibrant artful neighborhood!

Private room for rent by night or week in our immense Brooklyn Loft! Our 1500 sq.ft. loft has enormous West-facing factory windows overlooking the entire Manhattan skyline and the sunset, 18-foot ceilings, a spacious well-equipped kitchen, a dining area with large hand-made farm table, a comfortable living room, a large newly-renovated bathroom, and 3 bedrooms. Plus a swing. Yes, a swing. The floor of the building has a washer and dryer.

We are conveniently located just two blocks from the L train (about 20 minutes into Manhattan). The neighborhood has many cafes, restaurants, bars and grocery stores. The room is approximately 120 sq.ft. and comes furnished with a full-sized bed, has a walk-in closet, and its own interesting architectural elements. A space heater in the winter and AC in the summer.

Our building is a vibrant, art-filled factory building where films are made, bands practice, and graffiti changes constantly. It is Brooklyn at it's best, but please be aware that our neighbors are artists, musicians, and other creative types and that some nights there may be music shows or other projects taking place.

For those unfamiliar with loft-living: Loft spaces are certainly not soundproof-- sound carries easily around the entire open space.

If you've ever wondered about the experience of living in an industrial-style Brooklyn loft then let us to host you on your next visit to NYC!

We have two bedrooms available in the loft. If this one's booked, check out our other ad:

  • This loft was absolutely sensational. It's spacious, beautiful, in a great location and the residents are fantastic. Cassandra was a great host and we'd definitely stay again.

  • We stayed at Cass' loft for a week in December 2013 and loved it. The place is amazing and Cass and her long-term guests were very welcoming, friendly and had loads of good tips for us.

It's close to the subway station (gets you direct into Manhattan in about 15/20 mins), and close to Williamsburg. We'd definitely stay there again if we go back to NY.

  • This place was the best. Cass, Sunny and Caroline are the greatest hosts and made me feel very welcome.

The loft is so big and spacious with an incredible rooftop. The views are sweet. The area is very cool with lots of great cafes and bars. Easy walk from the subway. I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay there again on my visit to Brooklyn.

    Response from Cassandra:

I'm so very sorry you had such a difficult time here with us, it was such
an unfortunate match. I wish you would have taken me up on my numerous
offers to refund your money and find you other lodging that you would have
been more comfortable with (such as a hotel). We tried our best to make you
feel comfortable and welcome, as we do with all our guests (as you can see
in our reviews, our guests usually feel right at home). Again, I'm very
sorry and good luck in the future.

  • My husband and I stayed at this lovely place for 2 weeks, we enjoyed it a lot. Cassandra, Sunny and Caroline were great hosts. If we needed something, no matter what, Cass helped us to get it. The loft is in Bushwick very near to the next subway station, which brings you directly to Manhattan or Williamsburg. The room was very cozy with a lot of space for chlothes.
Bushwick is an interesting area with excellent restaurants, try northeast kingdom!
The view from the loft is incredible. It was our first airbnb experience and it was just amazing.
Highlight: Go to the rooftop and enjoy the sunset.

  • We had an amazing stay! The loft looks just the way it's been described. Absolutely gorgeous! Unfortunately Cassandra herself wasn't home (she was travelling) but we had great hosts called Sunny and Caroline. They gave us useful tourist advice and even made us a cake one morning! The view from the rooftop over New York is incredible too. There's a supermarket close to the loft which is open all night and located right next to the L-Train Station. Comes in pretty handy. All in all we couldn't have wished for a better apartment so this is a definite recommendation right here! Thanks a lot! Jule and Kerstin

  • We had a wonderful stay in this magic place, the hosts are great (and the rooftop is creazy)! It was just a seven day vacation, and we already felt like home.

  • Had a fantastic holiday here made to feel so welcome from the start by our host and other guest!! The location was perfect to access even with work going on with the subways! The views from the apartment where incredible and the loft itself was beautiful - it definitely lived up to its name! If your looking for a holiday in New York this place is a great to be able to see all of New York without living in the city that never sleeps!! Thankyou so much to Caroline and Sunny they where fantastic hosts and to Cassandra who was so approachable and informative and nothing was to much trouble you all made out experience perfect from the start!

  • The place is very nice as well as the location. There are a couple of nice coffee houses and bars in Bushwick and even more in Williamsburg. It's easy to get into the city (direct subway line to Manhattan). We haven't met Cass, but her roommates are nice.
