We spent two weeks (in August) with friends in Karina and Michal's house and had a splendid time. The house is spacious and beautifully restored. It is located in a quiet village (with small shop which proved handy) and has a huge and beautiful garden with fresh vegetables. Upon arrival, the house was super clean, bed sheets and towels had been provided for, including replacements for the next week. The rooms are large and there is ample space inside to relax when the weather is bad: satellite TV, home cinema, WII console... The kitchen is great, with all the necessary equipment, and there is a spacious dining area, but we took almost all our meals on the terrace outside. There is also a barbecue which we were free to use. Michal and Karina were very friendly and helpful, both in leading us to interesting places to see as in solving little problems. When we arrived, Michal had heated the outside tub, which was ideal to relax after our long trip from Belgium. Although the tub is normally not used in summer, we were free to use it, and it proved great to experience Poland's starry evenings and nights in the hot tub.
We spent a few days doing longer trips by car (Malbork, Gdansk, Szymbark, Bytow, Sopot), but there is much to see in the near surroundings of Lulemino too. We did biking trips using maps (and bikes) provided by Michal and Karina, spent a few days at the seaside near Ustka (in quiet places to which Michal had kindly referred us) and spent an afternoon in the nearby city of Slupsk which is worth seeing as well. Slupsk has ample stores and malls, both for everyday food purchases, but also for shopping. We also enjoyed the garden, which is quiet, huge and perfect for relaxing (there is a hammock).
In short, we had a super time discovering Poland from the house of Karina and Michal, and our holiday turned out to be everything we hoped for and more. Thanks again Karina, Michal and the kids, for kindly providing your house for our holiday!
We spend our new year's at Michal's house and really did have a fantasic time! The house is very spacious and very comfortably accomodated us (3 couples) There is a beamer plus surround sound system that pretty much equals a small cinema, well picked DVDs to watch, the kitchen is great, very nice dinig room plus a small living area in the downstairs bedroom. Also a hot tub in the huge garden plus fireplace. Anyways just to say our stay here was amazing. We also had a walk in the nearby forest and at the beaches in Ustka which are about a 20min drive. MIchal was a very friendly host even warming up the hot tub on the day of our arrival, easy to get hold of and easy going. Anyone up for a relaxing stay in the polish countryside should check out Lulemino. Thanks agan Michal!
