The space
The guest room is a single-story hanare (separate house) next to a traditional thatched-roof farmhouse.

Built about 90 years ago, it originally hosted long-term visitors, evacuees during the war, and people involved in post-war recovery. It was also my parents' first home and where I lived during high school.

After many years of being unused, it has been newly renovated into a comfortable space, blending historical charm with a simple, modern design.

The house has private facilities, including a bedroom (21.05㎡), kitchen, toilet, shower, and sink.

High speed Wi-Fi is available.

The property is surrounded by a 3,500㎡ natural landscape, where you might catch the scent of earth and straw.

My parents live nearby and spend their days farming, maintaining the grounds, and caring for the household shrine.

You are welcome to observe or join traditional rituals if you’re interested.

Next door, the main thatched-roof farmhouse is rented out as a space for events and photo shoots, mostly on weekends.

When it's not in use, guests are free to relax there as well.

We hope you enjoy experiencing a culture deeply rooted in living alongside nature, right here from Tokyo.

Other things to note
Please keep your voices down after 10 PM to maintain a peaceful environment.

Since we are surrounded by nature, insects may occasionally visit.

You might also spot a shy tanuki (wild raccoon dog)! If you do, be sure to greet them with a smile.

To help protect the environment, we do not provide toothbrushes. Thank you for your understanding.

If you are staying for more than a week, we can offer more than two set of sheets and towels. Just let us know if you would like to have them.

We hope you enjoy your stay.
