Our bedroom to let is cosy, inviting and homely. Two people can happily stay here and it's situated in the fantastic West End. Our street is quiet and you'll sleep like a baby in our new double bed. Come and enjoy our home!
Our apartment is a distinctive sandstone tenement (c1895) and comes with stunning period high-ceilings.
Parking won't be a problem - there's plenty of spaces right outside and it's free. Our home is a top-floor flat and is therefore unsuitable for those with reduced mobility.
Guests will have access to a private double room and a shared living room, modern kitchen and bathroom. Washer is available. The only room in the house off-limits is our bedroom.
Modern gas cooker
Hot water bottle
We will be available to answer any questions and offer advice on the local area and amenities. We love to meet new people but at the same time we fully understand that guests will want their privacy most of the time. We will not provide breakfast as we both work and will probably be out the door before you even wake up. We will be present during your stay most of the time - if we are going to be away we will let you know and make arrangements for keys.
Our favourite thing about the neighbourhood is the huge variety of cafés, restaurants, bars and pleasant walks. Our favourite walk is just two minutes away on the River Kelvin which runs right through Glasgow's West End. You'll also love the Botanic Gardens which has the cutest tea room ever! There's loads of vintage boutiques and homeware stores dotted around the neighbourhood as well as delicious cheese shops and fish mongers. We love to walk in Mugdock Country Park which is a 10 minute drive away. It is stunning and ideal for runners and walking enthusiasts. For any classical music fans, the famous Grammy-winning violist William Primrose was born on our street in 1904 :)
Public transport is super easy here. We use the Underground to get into the city centre- it's a 7 minute journey. And it's only £1.60 for anywhere on the line. If you're doing multiple trips that day, it's best to get a Discovery Ticket for around £3.50. There are also plenty of bus routes (6 or 6a on Great Western Road or 60, 60a or 61 on Maryhill Road) which will take you into the city centre as well as out into the countryside. A bus ride will cost £1.90. Taxis are EXTREMELY cheap in Glasgow too. It'll cost no more than £5.00 to get into the city centre.
We are a very friendly couple and we can't wait to share our cosy home with you.

We'll always try to be here to welcome you and offer you a cup of tea or coffee and to answer any questions you have. However, if we can't be here for some reason we will leave keys for you and have compiled a short 'welcome pack' with essential details (wifi password, local restaurants, taxi numbers etc).
We are very laid back but have just a few tiny requests when you come and stay with us. Here they are..during the week we work so preferably not too loud into the early hours. No pets and no smoking. No eating on the couch and no shoes on the couch either. It's a nice couch... :) Thanks x
Iain and Niamh's apartment was simply stunning. The lounge is soooo cool—I also love their taste in books. Any Neil Gaiman reader is a fine person indeed. The bed was super comfy and perfect for a weary, flyby traveller. I very much appreciated Iain staying up late, as I only arrived around 10.30pm. I didn't get to see them much, as I was running in and out. Would highly recommend!
A really nice home in a good location with really friendly and helpful hosts.
The host Iain kindly waited up for me on the Friday as my flight was delayed from London and didn't arrive until about midnight. He then took the time to chat and made me feel very welcome, as well as providing local numbers for my onward journeys.
The bed was very comfortable and there was very adequate space for my needs. The bathroom was functional with a good shower.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation to other Airbnbers.
The deepest impression of the appartment is so organized and clean. which makes me think the owner maybe from Japan . Niamh and Iain are nice people , if guest needs any help they will help immediately . they keep the appartment tidy and cozy , everynight they light the Xmas tree , it makes us feel warm and comfortable .
Great location. Easy parking. Great room, very comfortable, clean and classy
Iain and Niamh were great hosts, we were able to arrange early entry while they were still at work. They were very welcoming into their home and the short time we spent with them was great. Our room was comfortable and we appreciated being able to do some laundry. We enjoyed our time in Glasgow and staying at Iain and Niamh's home made it more enjoyable. Would highly recommend and would be happy to stay there again if ever given the opportunity.
A comfortable and cosy experience in Glasgows West End. Ian and Niamh very welcoming and warm. It is a small double room but very pleasant.

We are a young professional couple who enjoy sports, eating and drinking in nice places, and travelling whenever possible. I'm a Civil Engineer working in the power sector and my girlfriend Niamh is a features journalist for a large newspaper.
We are often out during week nights at the gym, playing sports or at classes of some kind, and like to get out of town most weekends.
We love meeting new people from new places and hearing their stories.
I'm originally from East Lothian- just outside of Edinburgh and Niamh is from Co.Galway in the West of Ireland. (Very handy if either of those places are on your visit list)
