Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • This is a very nice, clean, and quiet space. Great location and only about a twenty five minute walk into central Dublin. It's a short trek to the botanical gardens, which are also well worth a visit.

Eileen was very gracious and was able to give us street parking passes, which was fantastic. Thank you again for a lovely stay!

  • We just spent a great weekend at Eileen's flat, which was very comfortable, quiet and clean. The check-in and check-out times were flexible, which made planning our trip much easier. Many thanks to Eileen and Tony for making us feel welcome!

  • Eileen welcomed us for a long weekend in the apartment. She was very responsive and helpful already in our e-mail communication upfront and very kind at arrival. She gave us goos good recommendations for the area and how to get around. The check-in was very flexible and easy.

The apartment offers everything you need. Althoug we did not cook ourselves, the kitchen is fully equiped and Eileen was so kind to leave fresh milk, orange juice, coffee, tea and all the basic things you need for cooking in the kitchen. We got fresh towels and bed linen and Eileen even changed the towels for us after one night. The shower was perfect and although there was no hairdryer in the beginning, Eileen immediately provided us with one. Very kind.

The apartment is in the middle of a residental area, very quiet and save. A Tesco supermarket, some restaurants, take aways and small shops are in very close walking distance. We can recommend the café/bistro Woodstock which is a nice place to get something to eat, either in the afternoon or for dinner.

You can easily catch a bus or cab to get to the city center. We always walked to O'Connell Street which takes about 25 minutes. If yout wanna be at the outer bound of the rush and stress of city center Dublin, you are well located in this area.

Thanks very much Eileen, it was a pleasure to meeting you.

  • Stayed in Eileen's flat last weekend. She was very accommodating to my boyfriend and I as we arrived into Dublin at 7am on Sat morn. The flat is perfect for a weekend stay, plenty of space for two and appears to be newly furnished. Also a bus stop very close to take you to town. Could easily have stayed in and cooked there as had all the facilities and a nice big T.V. Would highly recommend it as a place to stay.

  • Staying at Eileen's house was a true pleasure! So comfortable, clean and tidy! Just perfect to relax from busy Dublin! A big and sunny living room and a cozy bedroom are there to enjoy. Thank you, Eileen!

  • Eileen's apartment is exactly what we were looking for. It's truly self-contained, which guarantees your privacy, and it's very comfortable.

It's got everything you need. The bedroom is big enough for two people and so it's the closet. The bathroom has a great shower and a nice bathtub. The main room is big, with a great view of the garden. The WiFi was a bug plus.

Eileen and Tony are excellent hosts. Eileen stocked the pantry with tea and biscuits and she also left milk and orange juice in the refrigerator for us upon arrival. She also got us fresh towels and sheets twice during our stay.

The neighborhood is quiet and very convenient. There's a Tesco supermarket, a couple of pubs, a coffee shop and a nice restaurant, all within walking distance.

If you walk out to Phibsborough Road you can catch a cab in less than 5 minutes. We actually walked to O'Connell Street most days as it takes about 15 minutes to get there.

We had a fantastic vacation and having stayed at Eileen's apartment contributed to make our trip so memorable. We'll definitely look to book it again when we return to Dublin.

    Response from Eileen:

    Hi Marlon & Edna,
Thanks for your feedback. I'm so sorry that I didn't get to say goodbye, we had a late night the previous night and I was having a late lie-in!
As to the mattress being uncomfortable, I will look into that right away. Nobody else mentioned a problem so I wasn't aware of it.
I'm delighted that you enjoyed your stay in Dublin and, needless to say, you are welcome to book the apartment anytime.
    Best regards, Eileen & Tony

  • Eileen's apartment was the perfect home base during our trip to Dublin. It's about a 25 minute walk to the city center, so not far but you still get a true sense of what it feels like to be a local! The apartment itself is lovely. Very clean and everything is brand new. Eileen went above and beyond to make us feel at home during our stay and we could not have asked for better!

  • A modern, airy flat only a short walk from O'Connell Street. We really liked the location of the flat and had two good meals first in the pub "Brian Borou" and the next day in the bistro "Woodstock", both 5 mins away. With the "hop on and off" bus pass you can also get several buses to drop you at the end of the street. The flat is very clean and spacious and we found the bed really comfy. We particularly liked the view over the neighbours' gardens and the fact there was no street noise. Although we didn't cook, the flat had a fully functional and well equipped kitchen. Eileen left tea and coffee and fresh milk for us which we appreciated.
Apart from a hitch with the airbnb site, it was easy to arrange and communication with the host was efficient. Eileen and partner Tony were very accommodating and friendly and we would definitely use this lovely apartment again.
