This B&B was a classic Vermont farmhouse with great history. I loved the feeling of the place. Evelyn provided great conversation and her quiche in the morning was delicious. This was truly an authentic VT experience and I am not sure there is a better place for the price.

Beautiful location and house. I wish I could've stayed longer to explore the property and area. Evelyn was very welcoming even when I arrived late in the evening. If I return to South Royalton I would love to stay here again.

My stay with Evelyn was wonderful! Her house is very relaxing, exactly what we were looking for in our weekend stay. The quiches were delicious, our host was warm and welcoming, she helped us plan our visit in the area (including a great farmers market where she sells her jams and pickles and pies). Highly recommended!

Evelyn was such a wonderful host! She knew about all sorts of fun things to do, including a wool and yarn festival that was going on the weekend we were visiting. She told us about the best routes to take for beautiful views, and gave us a map to keep so that we could find our way. The property is absolutely breathtaking--we are hoping to come back during other seasons, just to see how it changes. Breakfast was delicious, and accommodating of our dietary restrictions. Thank you for everything, Evelyn!

Such a lovely time staying at Evelyn's bnb. Her home was very warm and welcoming during the cold January winter. Beautiful home with a lot of history. She was very kind and helpful with great suggestions on what to see and do in VT. Her breakfast was a real treat too! Freshly squeezed orange juice and eggs right from her hen pen. I would love to go back and stay with her again.

We stayed with Evelyn in August, so the landscape was green and lush, a different kind of picturesque from her photo of a snow-encrusted home. Evelyn's home is welcoming, very clean, well furnished and very comfortable. With the windows opened we could hear the sounds of the outdoors as we drifted to sleep. For anyone who enjoys a good conversation over breakfast, Evelyn is ready to engage you. Along with the other guests, it was a rich and rewarding morning over french toast and coffee. This is a warm and wonderful place. I hope we are able to return at some point in the future. Maybe in winter!

Royalton B&B is a beautiful old farm house set on a lovely bit of VT property. The host, Evelyn, is warm, friendly, and very flexible -- she goes out of her way to make you feel at home. (As do her family members, if they happen to be around during your visit). Breakfast is cooked to perfection and garnished with friendly conversation from the hostess. The view from the front porch looks like a postcard, and it's a great place to watch the stars, and occasional meteor shower, at night. The B&B is walking distance from a swimming hole and a town center with a weekly farmer's market and a well-stocked co-op. It's a short drive away from Silver Lake in Barnard, VT, and to the shops and attractions of Woodstock and Quichee (as well as a number of other local highlights). For those looking for a rural retreat, Royalton fits the bill aesthetically despite being a touch close to the highway. However, this B&B's proximity to nearby attractions, its low price, and the flexibility & hospitality of its owner well make up for the occasional sound of a passing car. Highly recommended!

As your hosts, we love to meet new people from all over the world. We have traveled to Italy and a few other countries in Europe. We have also traveled to Panama and Canada.

Evelyn sells her homemade pies and quiches at local farmers markets each week. Her quiches are regularly available for breakfast. She also sells jams, jellies, pickles and relishes which may also be available for tasting upon request.

She also substitute teaches at local area schools.

Evelyn grew up in Vermont. The B&B is on the farm where her family has lived since the town was founded in the late 1700's.

We have lived on both coasts as well as several years in Costa Rica,. We look forward to meeting you and hearing about your travels.
