The studio features 1 double room with double bed and TV. It has a sitting area with refrigerator, kitchenette, kettle, iron, hair dryer. WC with shower.
Far from being a sizeable complex, our facility features rooms warranting simplicity, cleanliness and homeliness, the right ingredients for coziness in the local style.
Situated at a romantic alley, within 2 min. walking distance from the center of the charming Old Town of Rhodes - included in UNESCO's World Heritage Network since 1988,
Simple yet tastefully decorated, the studio is meant to ensure the most pleasant privacy to dwellers who may just as well socialize when they so choose, by frequenting the shady space under the vine tree in the commonly used, quiet and carefully kept yard around which the studios have been arranged. As a matter of fact, the facility is housed in a medieval building, where the senses and the reflections are certain to travel one to times gone by. Part of this colorful pattern is the sempiternal presence of the locals as well as of tourists flowing in from all parts of Greece and abroad, confirming and indeed keeping alive the legendary, unique ambience of the Old Town.
The impact of the various cultures harbored here is visible in ever corner, every spot and indeed in every aspect of this zone's architecture. Featuring constructions from the times of the Byzantines, those of the Knights of St. John and later on from the times of the Ottomans and the Italians, the narrow streets of the Old Town contribute to the creation of a unique atmosphere.
Me and my wife went to stay for two days but we stayed the whole week at this beatiful house. Christos is a very kind and helpful guy who tries everything to make you feel at home. Everything was great, there was cleaning service every day. Definitely recommend to everyone!
Christos is a great host, and looked after us very well! We had one night in the hotel and two in the apartment, both places great. Pity about the noisy bikes on the Saturday night, but we got enough sleep!
The room wasn't available so christos had us in the saint michel inn which he also owns. The location is great in that its still in old town, so your sleeping in a heritage building but its 1-2 minute walk from the busy touristy streets if old town and about a 3-5 minute walk from the castle.
The room we had was excellent. It even features a separate side entrance to the room.
We only booked two nights with Christos, and ended up staying for nearly two weeks! We fell in love with the apartment, the Old Town and Christos' wonderful hospitality.
The apartment is perfect, it's literally two minutes walk into the middle of the main square but also close to quieter restaurants and bars. It's clean and comfy with everything you would need to be fully self catering. It also has a gorgeous secluded courtyard, shared with the other two apartments.
Christos himself is amazing! He is the most welcoming host and instantly made us feel completely at home. He gave us a map of Rhodes island and showed us all the places worth visiting. Every time we popped to the hotel to use the internet or ask a question, we were greeted by a cry of "Welcome, welcome" and were offered a drink. When we decided to extend our stay at very short notice, Christos found us somewhere to stay despite being fully booked himself until the apartment was free again.
We will definitely be going back to Rhodes to stay with Christos and couldn't recommend it enough!
This particular room wasn't available when we stayed, so we were offered another for the same price. It was a cool and comfortable escape from the blistering Rhodian sun. Was a great stay and we would love to come back. Thanks!
I was traveling throughout Turkey, with my final Turkish location of Bodrum
In Bodrum, I was catching a fast boat hydrofoil that leaves only once a week from Bodrum for Rhodes.
Due to high winds, the hydrofoil was cancelled, and not rescheduled. I would have to wait an entire week. That was not possible.
I had to fly back to Athens, and could not get to Rhodes in time for my reservation, short of chartering a flight. Thus I wound up in Crete a day early.
I had planned to add Rhodes again at the end of my 5 Greek Islands itinerary, and Christos offered to honor my paid reservation then pending availability.
However, that was not possible logistically, given my time restraints.
So I'll have to leave Rhodes for the next Aegean trip.
Great location, good rooms. No internet. Take the ones on pythogarus street, better access and better lit than those near the reception.
Rhodes (Rodos) is absolutely beautiful. We only stayed one night, and we really wished we had planned to stay longer. The beaches are brilliant and the apartment is smack in the middle of the old city from the middle ages. The entire area is quite breath taking, I would highly recommend it to anyone (if you can get past the fact that the city is just swarming with tourists).
As for the apartment, It was a bit small and not exactly like the pictures. I believe Christos gave us the downstairs apartment instead of the upstairs apartment which is pictured in this listing. So if you do rent this apartment you may want to confirm that that you are getting what you signed up for.
Aside from that the host (Christos) was very helpful, and is always around as he runs a hotel about a 2 minute walk away.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
