Owners are designer/builders and have taken advantage of the lovely landscaped yard and incorporated it into the setting. French doors in the living room open to a secluded patio with table for 2; elevated efficiency kitchenette (not a full kitchen) overlooks the living room and patio; Faux walls create a European feel throughout the unit. Hardwood floors in the living room and bedroom; bathroom with full tub, is tiled and windows open to the bedroom, letting in light and garden views; queen bed in the bedroom with large armoire. Sofa in the living room turns into a bed for additional guests. This unique garden apartment is a wonderful place to stay. Located 1 block from the J Church Line and 6 blocks from the 24th Street BART, it is easy to access downtown; all the 24th Street, Mission Street and Valencia Street shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. Utility charges in excess of $100 shared by guest for stays over 30 nights. No smoking. No pets. 7 NIGHT MINIMUM.

This was the perfect place and location for our visit to San Francisco. Being in the Noe Valley/Mission area was convenient and offered many small restaurants and access public transportation. It was a great place to launch a search for an apartment for our daughter. Canto Uccello is beautiful, well appointed and best of all, has great hosts. We really enjoyed the peaceful retreat and lovely patio/garden created by them. And enjoyed trading stories. I would highly recommend Canto Uccello and will return to use it again myself.
I stayed in this beautiful apartment for 5 nights. I don't even know where to start the praise. Annette has been extremely helpful from start to finish with regards to directions etc. But here are the 2 most important attributes of this place. 1)LOCATION!!! It's in the fringes of Noe Valley and Castro and the street is a very quaint quiet street with lots of amenities just a stone throw (restaurants, breakfast bars, whole foods market). 2) The apartment it self is absolutely stunning! The photos don't do it justice! 3) The landlords that live upstairs are just the friendliest and most discreet people you will ever meet! They have made this apartment with love and its obvious! The garden at the back is just like a little heaven in the heart of San Fran. I wanted to stay for longer on this property but unfortunately it was booked out. I'm staying in the area so I'm definitely going to keep in touch with the landlords even for a cup of coffee. Thats how friendly they are. Absolutely amazing experience and i consider my self very lucky since this was my first San Fran pad. 5 star property, 5 star location, 5 star landlords! Stop looking around cause you found your place!
Canto Uccello is a beautiful space that the owners, Jana and Geoff, put a tremendous amount of thought and effort in to designing and building. It was such a beautiful, quiet, and comfortable place to stay for a month while I looked for a permanent apartment and got settled in after relocating to SF from London. It's very close to public transportation (the J line) and the garden in the back is stunning - so peaceful! There are also some great restaurants nearby that I really liked - Henry's Hunan is fantastic. Jana and Geoff were wonderful hosts - I would highly recommend Canto Uccello to friends and family as a place to stay in San Francisco.
Overall, good experience. The apartment was beautiful, with an amazing garden. The host did everything they could to make the stay enjoyable and were very available to answer questions and provide us with anything we needed. Very helpful. Very comfortable stay.

Also, the hosts, Jana and Geoff, are wonderful and very kind. The place is so nice, and they make sure we had eveything we needed.
