Stunning chic city designer apartment walking distance from all the best Melbourne food and cultural icons. Award winning designer fit out and eclectic feel makes this the perfect city retreat.
Stay in my amazing designer warehouse conversion recently featured in the LA Times along with a host of other design magazines and winner of a Melbourne Design award for interior design!!
My beautiful apartment is right in the heart of Melbourne's vibrant restaurant, bar and art gallery district. It's literally on one of Melbourne's famous lane ways - Flinders Lane - yet it is in a wonderful quiet and safe pocket where you can relax and take in all that Melbourne has to offer.
Situated in what’s affectionately known as the ‘Paris End’ of Melbourne’s charismatic CBD, this large 1 bedroom warehouse conversion is the perfect place to come back to after a day of exploring the wonders of Melbourne. At the top end of Flinders Lane it’s near beautiful parklands and the funky suburbs of Fitzroy, Carlton and Collingwood.
Located at the back of a 1940s converted warehouse, it faces onto a quiet laneway so you will be sure to get a good night’s rest with some peace and quiet. As you can see from the photos it’s very spacious (65sqm) and has 4.2m high ceilings and 2.5m high windows (that open up to let a beautiful breeze through). There is a separate bedroom with comfy queen bed. The apartment is suitable for 1-2 people, I do have an extra single futon bed which I am happy to set up in the lounge room for a 3rd person - please contact me first though.
The apartment is spacious and relaxed with all that you will need for a fabulous stay. It’s really close to trams and trains and the share bike scheme recently introduced to Melbourne. You can also walk anywhere in the city as it’s very centrally located. You can also hire one of several GoGet cars from round the apartment to save on car hire. I provide MyKi cards for use on trams and trains and can also arrange bike hire for a small extra fee (please contact me about this).
The apartment has unlimited wifi and internal laundry (washing machine and dryer) that you can use during your stay. The open plan kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, espresso machine, chef quality Miele induction cooktop and high quality cookware (I love to cook!). A bottle of wine will be awaiting your arrival and I pride myself on providing expert local advice on the best places to eat, drink and explore! Ask my anything - I'm here to help you have an amazing time in one of my favourite cities in the world!
The queen size bedroom includes storage / hanging facilities. And of course fresh linen and towels are provided as well!
There is a 32inch TV and DVD player is located in the lounge room with HDMI cable for streaming movies ect.
The apartment is New York style open plan with a very cool designer rotating library dividing the spaces: it’s not a share place, you get the entire apartment to yourself! You can select from a meet and great or we can arrange a self checkin if that works better for your arrival times.
I have prepared an extensive guide book of all the best food, coffee and drinks places close by so you get a locals recommendations on the cool Melbourne foodie scene. I'm also happy to answer any questions you have about things to see do etc - (check out my airbnb guidebook too)!
The price listed is for one person per night; if you want to stay as a couple then it will be $25 extra per person per night.
Please note that I prefer a minimum stay of 2 nights on Friday and Saturdays unless there are other bookings on either side. Please contact me first if you want to book for just one night to confirm that it’s OK.

Leyla is a great host and was prompt with confirming availability for the flat and check-in and check-out times. The flat is located in a great part of the city and has all the amenities that you would ever need. I'll will be sure to recommend this place to any friends or family that need somewhere to stay in Melbourne.
Great location, well appointed (though took me a while to find the toaster!) - it literally has everything. Eclectic book and CD collection. Couldn't fault it! :)
A fantastic location and apartment - we booked this apartment (along with another in the same building) for a working week in Melbourne. A curious and fun space, it was a nice change to feel like you were coming 'home' rather than to a bland hotel room. The welcome pack was fantastic and I thought the Myki cards were a particularly nice touch.
As we were traveling for business there were one or two things that were a small issue - namely that the apartment was a little noisy during the night, and there was no air-conditioning. This was only an issue as we lucked out with a row of 35c+ days.
Our experience overall - Leyla was excellent to deal with, the space was fun, welcoming and highly recommended.
Enjoyed a great weekend in Melbourne thanks to Leyla's lovely accommodation. Very comfortable, clean and convenient.
We had a great Airbnb experience staying at Leyla's place! Leyla is super organised and quick to respond to any queries. The apartment is just as described/pictured and the location couldn't be any more convenient for a stay in Melbourne's CBD. In particular, the self check-in was really convenient, as well as the small touches and amenities (e.g. hair dryer, fully equipped kitchen, stereo & dvd player) that really made the place feel like a home away from home. Would definitely look into staying here again. Thanks, Leyla!
I loved stopping over here. It was exactly as discribed and prefect location. Slept like a baby and I will definitely be back. On the same
Night the hotel across the road cheapest room was over $1000 per night! Love airbnb
Leyla's place was perfect. We found it just as she advertised it, clean, stylish, and well located. Stayed for 4 nights during the Australian Open. The place is walking distance from the tennis center, as well as Melbourne's famous laneways, shopping, dining, and artsy neighborhoods. We loved it! Highly recommended. Leyla's recommendations were spot on as well. Thanks, Leyla!
Leyla was great. She was great at communicating, and responded to all communication very quickly and was great to accommodate our early check in. The apartment was in a great location, very funky, clean and had everything that we needed. We were staying when it was extremely hot in Melb, and despite the lack of aircon, we didn't overheat as the apartment didn't get overly hot and there was a fan which was enough to keep us cool. I'd definitely stay here again.
Leyla's charming and well-appointed Flinders Lane apartment reflects her design sensibilities and makes an ideal HQ for foodies (many great eateries [i.e. Cumulus, Chin Chin, Chinatown] nearby) and those wanting to explore Melbourne CBD's many hidden gems (graffiti/secret restaurants) in alleyway nooks and crannies.
While taking afternoon breaks (from eating), I read design books from her unique rotating bookcase while listening to music and sipping icy Bundies on the couch with all the (rotating) windows open --indeed a dreamy delight on a hot Summer's day.
I will definitely return to finish reading her great collection.
The apartment was great. It's very centrally located with tons of restaurants within blocks and a block from a good tram line. Leyla was also great to work with. Communication was very timely and she checked in during my stay to make sure everything was working out and to see if I needed anything. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Leyla!
