About this listing

We love our home in Baja. Everytime one of us returns we always say"Ah...after 12 years we still embrace the house, the neighborhood, the climate, the ocean. It is light and airy, has a unique blend of Mexican traditional and modern, and has pieces of art collected all over Mexican. It's so comfortable and relaxing!

The space

Our locally designed home is a subtle blend of traditional rancho and modern Mexican. We love sharing our homey, comfortable casa.

Casa Jacinta features a panoramic ocean view, two bedrooms, loft, a spacious living/dining area with fully equipped kitchen, ceiling fans, covered patio and roof deck. You can see, hear and breathe the fresh salt air of the Pacific Ocean. The wide beach, its golden sands stretching for miles in both directions, is a short stroll from the house. The dry desert/sea/oasis landscape and weather are delightful mid-October through mid-August.

One bedrooom has a queen bed. The other can be made-up as either two singles or a king. A port-a-crib is available.

$450-- $950 per week or $85-$170 per night, depending on season. 3 night minimum.

Guest access

The whole house is yours on a private 1/3 acre lot. There are no other dwellings on the premises.

Interaction with guests

Our property managers will be available to assist you throughout your stay.

The neighborhood

Las Tunas is a fabled beach neighborhood just two miles from the Todos Santos town center. The glorious beach that stretches for miles to the north and south is only a five minute walk from the front door. The turtle project releases babies many nights on the beach entrance used by our guests and us.

Getting around

You need a car to get around. Public transportation is limited in Baja. We have plenty of parking on the grounds. If someone is available to meet a party in town, there is a shuttle from the airport to Todos Santos bus depot, Ecobaja.

Other things to note

You will enjoy the open-air living. We have a large patio with new hot tub on the ground level, and a roof deck that is great fo sunset drinks as the sun never fails to delight as it sets over the Pacific.

The house was perfect for our family of four (two adults and two teenagers). The kitchen was great for cooking, the patio lovely for eating, and the location--a five minute walk to the beach through a pretty field with grazing horses--was a highlight. Be aware that you cannot swim at the beach, though, as the undertow is dangerous. It's a wonderful beach for walking and watching the waves crash against the sand. Sunsets are magical.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Jacinta. The house is even nicer than it looks in the pictures. It was a lovely oasis, and very quiet location, close to the beach.

This house is beautiful, and in a very nice location, not too far from town but secluded enough, and you can literally see, hear and smell the ocean. I stayed here with my Dad and two brothers for five days, and really enjoyed it. Five minute stroll to the beach. The hot tub was a pleasant surprise too. I would definitely go back!

In the dozen or so times we've stayed with Airbnb this was the most thorough welcome and advance info supply we've ever seen. Carol has gone above and beyond to make sure her guests find her place easily and then once you arrive. . . . what a delightful spot. When a host thinks about their guests it is very obvious and Carol has gone the extra mile (KM I mean!) to make sure that anything you might need or need to know about Todos Santos and environs is at your fingertips. A++ in every way. I'm already looking ahead to see when we can return.

Carol's place was our first experience in an Airbnb rental and it set a gold standard. The host was communicative, responsive and proactive. We were supplied with all relevant information well in advance (no waiting until the night before to get the address). The home is lovely. A sensible floor plan, excellent shade (muy importante in Mexico) and everything you need (other than your clothes and food) provided. We would definitely recommend and we would definitely stay here again.

This is an amazing place. We were 2 couples but could easily fit more with the loft upstairs. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed. Even some spices and oil were available for cooking. The beach towels also came in handy. It was clean and the grounds are well-kept. We loved the patio and roof-top deck. Beautiful sunsets. It was not easy to find and we were glad that it was still light when we got there as we could not have found it in the dark. Will rent an SUV next time.

I am a retired teacher who now divides my time between my homestead in the Coastal Range of Humboldt County, California, our lovely Casa Jacinta and traveling. In Humboldt in addition to many visits from children and my eleven grandchildren, I am active on the board of a non-profit that is creating a 400 acre park along the wild and scenic Eel River. (URL HIDDEN) . I own Casa Jacinta with two women friends, Jane and Joanne. I usually handle the bookings for Casa Jacinta, but sometimes Jane takes over when I am traveling without my computer.
