The Space

Our locally designed home is a subtle blend of traditional rancho and modern Mexican. We love sharing our homey, comfortable casa.

Casa Jacinta features a panoramic ocean view, two bedrooms, loft, a spacious living/dining area with fully equipped kitchen, ceiling fans, covered patio and roof deck. You can see, hear and breathe the fresh salt air of the Pacific Ocean. The wide beach, its golden sands stretching for miles in both directions, is a short stroll from the house. The dry desert/sea/oasis landscape and weather are delightful mid-October through mid-August.

$395-- $780 per week or $65-$140 per night, depending on season. 3 night minimum.

  • We had an absolutely wonderful four-day getaway to Carol’s house in Todos Santos. Carol was a terrific host – knowledgeable, accommodating, responsive, and incredibly pleasant. Her helpful recommendations and answers to our questions made the planning process so smooth.

The house is beautiful, quiet, and tucked away – you can hear the ocean from the roof deck, where we spent more than one evening enjoying the view. Though the beach closest to the house isn’t swimmable, it’s perfect for walking or watching the sunset. And, Carol provides recommendations and helpful directions to the closest swimming beaches, which are spectacular and an easy 10-15 minute drive from the house. The proximity to these beautiful beach oases and the wonderful town of Todos Santos makes this house truly special.

We recommend timing your travel so that you’re able to arrive in Todos Santos during the daylight hours since some of the roads are unpaved and there are few streetlights to illuminate the street signs and landmarks on the route to the house. We arrived in Todos Santos after sundown and ended up taking the “scenic” route instead. However, in the daylight, navigating the route to Casa Jacinta is a breeze.

The house is immaculate and beautifully maintained. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking with all of the pots, pans, and utensils you might need. Carol also provides directions to various grocery stores and markets on the route to Casa Jacinta where you can pick up groceries and produce. You’ll have full coolers of drinking water when you arrive, and they can be easily refilled at the local supermercado when they run low. When it comes to activities, Carol’s got you covered there as well. Beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella are all available for guests’ use and conveniently stored in the outdoor storage area.

Again, we absolutely loved our stay and hope to return to Todos Santos and Casa Jacinta in the future!

  • Casa Jacinta is wonderful, even better than I thought it would be...there was only one problem, and that is...I had to leave! Can't wait to return.

  • Carol was a superb host. She was very responsive to our communication before and we were very grateful for the detailed directions. The casa was well equipped and in great shape. The views exceeded our expectations. There was a pack n play waiting for us - thank you!

  • Six of us just enjoyed an amazing nine days at Carol's property in Todos Santos. The home was beautiful, near the ocean and a quick drive to town. Everything we could have needed in terms of beach gear, kitchen equipment and home amenities was there. Our property manager stopped by to say hello and was very friendly. A great spot!!!

  • Nice quiet place to spend a week.
Access to a nice walking beach.
    Quick drive to todos santos.
Great place to relax and listen to the sounds of the waves as you sleep.

  • Have you ever seen stars so bright it almost hurts your eyes to gaze at the sky? That's what you'll see in this lovely place far removed from the hustle and bustle of over-commercialized Cabos. The house is as lovely as portrayed on the web and a short stroll down dirt/sand paths to the beach which stretches as far as you can see with not a soul around. Stick your toes in, but definitely don't try and swim as the waves are huge. We were lucky enough to see the whales swim by - an amazing sight!

The town is a short car ride away along very bumpy, pot-holed roads. If you rent a car, rent one that can manage poor roads (our compact was not ideal). Todos Santos is an interesting expat community with lots of over-priced touristy shops. The best food we found was at La Esquina, a beautiful, open-air restuarant with reasonably priced fresh food and live music on Thursday evenings; happy hour daily with mango margaritas! Don't miss the amazing coffee and todo muffins and other fresh baked goods at Baja Beans on the highway on the road to Los Cerritos Beach (Km 64) plus there's an artesan market there with nice things on Sundays.

Very much appreciate reminders at the house to conserve water in the desert environment. The property managers and owner are very available via email, text, and phone and can answer most any questions you might have.

You feel so unplugged (though internet works fine) in this off-the-beaten track and beautiful location, you'll find it hard to reconnect to our fast-paced life in the USA.

  • Pros: charming, quiet, private, kitchen stocked with all the dishes, pans, utensils needed to cook just about anything, naturally cool in the house during the heat of the day, view of ocean (with whales) from both inside the casa and up on the deck, 10 minute stroll to the beach, baby turtles released on the beach at sunset most nights, neighborhood horses roaming free on the dusty streets, friendly neighborhood dogs and cats, <10 minute drive to town for so fresh taco shacks or gourmet catch-of-the-day dinners, 15-20 minute drive to surfing and swimming beach (Playa Los Cerritos), great close-by property managers (they responded fast, cheerfully and in person to our questions)
Cons: we only stayed a week!
Recommendations: Get a rental car to explore the town and beaches. Contact Sergio and Bryan at Todos Santos Eco Adventures to hook you up with adventurous stuff to do in the area - whale watching, horseback riding, hiking, surfing, fishing, swimming with sharks. Volunteer at the Palapa Society of Todos Santos to help enrich the lives of local kids.

  • Casa Jacinta was everything we hoped it would be. It was very convenient to the beach and an easy drive into Todos Santos. The accommodations were very comfortable and we particularly enjoyed sitting and reading on the back porch. The nearby caretakers made us feel very welcome and were readily available to answer questions and offer suggestions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here on a future visit.

  • I absolutely loved staying at Casa Jacinta! Everything was just as described in the airbnb ad. The beach really is 5 minutes away - and I was often the only one on it! The rooftop area was perfect for watching the sun set over the Pacific, dining and yoga. The town is a couple of minutes away by car, and there was great shopping and dining. I made a lot of meals at the Casa, and as someone who really enjoys cooking, this place had a good stock of all of the cooking equipment and utensils I needed.

The house managers came by to say hi and make sure everything was OK upon my arrival and after one super rainy day (everything was perfect!). That was a nice touch since I didn't bring a phone that works in Mexico. I've only been home a day and I miss this place already. Overall - the communications were outstanding, it was easy to stay here, easy to get around, and a really cozy place to stay for a week. I would definitely come back to Casa Jacinta for my next Baja vacation!

  • This place is AWESOME! First, there was a double booking the first day. Good people make mistakes which is understandable. Though how Carol handled it was outstanding! She had set us up at Serendipity Bed and Breakfast which was just down the street from Carol’s house. Sharon, the host at Serendipity, was one of the MOST friendliest, attentive, and gracious hosts I’ve ever met. Serendipity had beautiful rooms, clean pool, and the sweetest Mangos (from her mango trees) I’ve tasted in a long time. My only regret is not being able to write a great review for them. Anyway, Carol did a great job in dealing with the double booking and we appreciated it! Now for Carol’s place in paradise.

The home was clean, short 2 minute walk from the beach, and had everything needed for a pleasant stay; a great view of the ocean from the roof patio, beautiful kitchen area, a relaxing hammock in a secluded place in the backyard, a non-stop purring cat and a happy dog that would visit us constantly, comfortable clean beds… all in all a wonderful relaxing place. I’m already thinking about sending my parents here for 2 to 4 weeks on vacation. Their 45th anniversary is coming up soon.

The people and ex-pats of Todos Santos are super friendly and the food is DELICIOUS. Actually, from Todos Santos to San Lucas, it had been one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had while travelling… and I’ve been to over 30 countries. Of course being by the ocean, we went all sea food.

Great place, 100% recommended, and I’m glad we had the pleasure of staying in this little hideaway in paradise.

I am a retired teacher who now divides my time between my homestead in the Coastal Range of Humboldt County, California, our lovely Casa Jacinta and traveling. In Humboldt in addition to many visits from children and my eleven grandchildren, I am active on the board of a non-profit that is creating a 400 acre park along the wild and scenic Eel River. (website hidden) . I own Casa Jacinta with two women friends, Jane and Joanne. I usually handle the bookings for Casa Jacinta, but sometimes Jane takes over when I am traveling without my computer.
