The Space

Your own ully furnished apartment located in the north west of Mexico, one block from San Juan de Aragon's Park and Zoo, close to the International Airport of Mexico City, Basilica de Guadalupe, and Mormon Temple.

We offer to pick up you at the International Airport for NO extra cost depending on the hour of your arrival ( Please ask if that is the case)

The neighbourhood is in a typical mexican area. The nearest Subway stations are BONDOJITO and TALISMAN (Light Blue Line, Line Four) and from there you can go direct to Downtown in 25 minutes.

There is a little shop next to the main entrance of the building where you can buy basic stuff like cold drinks, bread, milk, and chips. There is a typical mexican market one block from the flat and the closest supermarket (Bodega Aurrera) is 3 blocks away. Blockbuster is 3 blocks from the flat and you can gat at CINEMEX ARAGON in 15 minutes.

Mexico's City International Airport is within 3 km, Basilica de Guadalupe (very famous church dedicated to Virgin of Guadalupe) is 5 km, San Juan de Aragon Park is one block form the flat, and we are behind the Mormon Temple.

Very convenient if you are studying at CECyT 1 (5 min), CET 1 (15 min) of Instituto Politecnico Nacional, or FES ARAGON (20 min) of UNAM.

If you need to stay in the North West of Mexico, we guarantee you that this is the best place to stay :)

************========NOTE: Currently, I am working with an indigenous community in the Mexican jungle and I need to cycle 30 km to the closest internet point and my phone calls are limited. I check my email every 3 days so PLEASE FORGIVE ME if it takes me 3 days (at the most) to go back to you. I appreciate your patience :D

  • I stay in MaryJo's apartment for 2 months, and came to love it very much. To be fair, I liked it from the beginning. MaryJo works in sourthern Mexico, so her father met me at the entrance to the apartment. Although Luis doesn't speak much English, and my Spanish was terrible, we got along perfectly. He demonstrated how to operate everything that I might need to know. I didn't experience any problems throughout that whole period, but when I was unable to figure out how to re-light the gas heater I called Luis and he arrived within minutes and showed me how to do it.

The area itself is wonderful - safe, friendly, and populated with wonderful food and drink. They're a cute park at the end of the block, and two much larger ones minutes away. Here too are beautiful places to run, if you like to exercise. Most things are available at the local market a block or two away, and there's a couple of supermarkets within walking distance.

I would recommend MaryJo's apartment to people looking for either a short or long term stay in Mexico city. It's perfectly cited if you just want to see the sights, but quiet and unique enough for those who want to relax and explore the city. The fact that MaryJo and Luis were perfect hosts is just a bonus. Highly Recommended!

  • Nice apartment in a safe area of the city and the subway is just 5 minutes from the place! The apartment is very convenient and has everything you' d need: sofa+tv, microwave, fridge (with a welcome pack ;) ) hot water in the shower, coffee machine, wi-fi, etc etc etc etc. Besides, both MaryJo and her dad were super nice, super helpful, easy going and friendly. Would definitely go back. Highly recommendable!

  • MaryJo's flat in D.F. is located in a great neighborhood with easy access to the metro, Bosque de Chapultepec, (email hidden)ly market just up the street. Her father Luis met us upon our arrival at the apartment and was available if we ever needed anything...and amazingly hospitable. MaryJo had emailed detailed instructions on the apartment and how to get around so we felt secure and comfortable at all times.

My girlfriend and I spent a week in Mexico, spending New Year's Eve partying in the Polanco district, and came back to a quiet, safe apartment feeling lucky to have arranged such a great place with great hosts. All in all, a fantastic experience that I won't soon forget.

  • What a great apartment! Nice neighborhood, close to public transportation, and a stone's throw away from some of the best food and drinks in the city. María José and her family are simply the best. María José wasn't actually in Mexico City when I rented her apartment on account of her NGO work in southeastern Mexico. However, her parents -- Luis and Vicky, who live a few blocks away -- took more than good care of me. They were quick to respond whenever anything came up at the apartment, and they always pointed me in the right direction if I had a question. It should be noted that Luis and Vicky speak mostly Spanish. I cannot recommend this apartment enough. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I'm in Mexico City!

  • A GREAT DEAL - I stayed in this apartment for a month with my wife and daughter. Overall our experience was very positive, though I'll note a couple of things some travelers might want to be aware of. Our host was Mary Jo's father, who was always just a phone call away whenever there was a problem with the apartment. During our stay, a number of little things popped up (water heater tuning off, leak in the bathroom sink). A phone call to Luis and these were quickly taken care of.

As advertised, the apartment is right at the southern edge of Condesa. We had lots of fun just walking around and checking out local bakeries (La Artesa was our favorite), cafes (Péndulo for book lovers, Maque for delicious savory breakfast), parks (México, España), etc. The apartment was clean and the kitchen and bathroom were functional.

The two things I think some travelers will want to know are (1) The bed is not terribly comfortable. I like a firm mattress, my wife preferes a soft mattress, neither of us found the bed easy to sleep on. (2) The apartment itself does not have a particularly attractive view out of either window, though Luis told me that there is a roof-top area with a view.

Considering what hotel accommodations in the neighborhood cost, I found this to be a fantastic deal and would definitely stay again.
