My husband and I manage a small, diverse organic farm. Our bedroom is upstairs. The master bedroom on the first floor is very private. There is space in the closet for your clothes. Ironing board available downstairs in the basement if needed.

The space

The room has a desk, a reading chair and plenty of room to stretch. There is an attached bathroom with bathtub and 2 sinks.

Guest access

You enter through the front door. Your room is on the main floor. We sleep upstairs.

Interaction with guests

You may walk the 23 acres and see the farm. We will happily show you around. There is a path through the reforested 11 acres and around the pasture. Breakfast includes our farm raised eggs, fruits and vegetables in season.

Other things to note

We have no dog, but our barn cat sometimes comes into the house for a special treat.

We enjoyed our short time at the farm and wished we could have spent some more there learning a bit more about the ins and outs of organic farming. It was a very welcoming/open atmosphere and also a different experience than the other 15 - 20 airbnb's we've stayed at. A bit of a communal feeling, which we enjoyed.

Very friendly and accommodating! Definitely recommended--wish I had more time to see the farm!

Nice stop on our way back home from Northern Michigan. We even got some good geocaching in on a trail not too far from the farm!

I'm in a wheelchair, so our hostess let me know that getting from our van to the house, in the snow, might be challenging. We decided to go ahead with it and were pleased and surprised to see her waiting for us when we pulled up. She had shoveled a path through the snow and walked ahead of us, lighting our way in. Robin spent time with us in her living room, helping us to decompress after our almost four-hour drive. We enjoyed great conversation and soothing tea. I spin my own yarn and Robin was very gracious to let me watch her spin on her spinning wheel and even offered me the use of her second wheel while I was with her. Her entire manner is gracious, warm, welcoming and very soothing (we needed to be in the area to tend to my father, recently diagnosed with cancer, so this was important). This was our first time having a private room instead of an entire place to ourselves and it was a great experience!

This unique farm home is an easy drive from the nearby Interstate and is not hard to find. The room was very spacious with a desk and easy chair. The private bath is for that room only with a double sink setup that is very handy. Robin and Greg are gracious hosts and we were soon chatting about family, farming and world travel. We were treated to a delicious homemade farm breakfast each morning made with local ingredients including their own organic eggs. The location worked out perfect for our travels and family activities and we also learned a lot about organic farming which we are interested in for our own property. Overall it was a unique and satisfying experience.

My husband and I maintain a small organic farm. We are health professionals; he is a homeopathic doctor in private practice, and I am a retired nurse. We're in our 60's.
