1 bedroom private apartment in historic house (Friday Cottage, c. 1840) in downtown Columbia, South Carolina. Walking distance to the Columbia Museum of Art. In the Robert Mills Neighborhood next to Historic Columbia House Museums. Fully furnished with full kitchen. Near the University of South Carolina, Benedict College. If available, use of bicycle to bike to the Three Rivers Greenway, Vista and 5 Points entertainment districts. Drive to Congaree National Park.
The apartment entrance is behind the main house, where we live with 2 dogs; for that reason, we cannot approve bringing pets.
Back yard with outdoor bistro table.
We are normally pretty hands off, but welcome a chance to get to know our guests better.
Our historic neighborhood is the oldest in Columbia. Much of the city was burned during the Civil War, but our house and some others in the neighborhood were spared. We are in a mostly commercial area, but there are a few of us who live in the neighborhood.
We are 4 blocks from the central transit station. Walk to USC, Main Street. Within a mile of the Vista, the Three Rivers Greenway and State House.
Nothing short of perfect. The cottage was ideal in both location and amenities. The best part of staying at the cottage is staying with Brit. He is better than any concierge at a hotel. In summary it is a great place to stay and you will have the insiders view when you stay with Brit. I have nothing negative to say (and I am a New York). Amazing stay and I would not hesitate to stay there again and again.
I loved it here. The best combo of cute apartment, and the perfect hosts. The location is ideal for Columbia, because it's about 10 min from anywhere. I know I will be back again, and this will definitely be my first choice.
