This apartment was wonderful! Sergio met us before check in time and allowed us to leave our baggage there while we walked around until check-in. He was very welcoming and helpful. He provided a map and showed us where we were, where the sites were, and recommended some really excellent restaurants. This apartment is in a wonderful location. 20 minute walk to the Vatican, and about 30 minutes to the Colosseum. There is a supermarket very close by, and plenty of other wine/cheese/meat shops in the area. According to my tripadvisor app, there are 10 restaurants within 200 feet of the apartment!!!
The kitchen and bathroom were both great. A HUGE perk in this building was that there is an elevator - VERY rare in Rome apartments.
Sergio was very responsive to any issues we had, as he lives very close by. The apartment was clean and very comfortable. Wifi works VERY well. I would stay in one of Sergio's apartments again in a heartbeat!
We had a three night stay at Sergio's home, and it was a great experience. Our flight was delayed one day and Sergio was very accommodating, and he also helped us to arrange for private transportation from the airport. We never actually met Sergio in person, but instead were greeted with a very nice woman who showed us around the house (as well as how to use the awesome espresso machine which we used frequently).
The house was a little bit smaller than I expected, and definitely not as bright as the photos, but overall the pictures are true to life. The ceiling in the living room was espeically interesting, and great to look at holding a glass of wine after a long day of adventure! The location was fantastic and always easy to find--the house is just north of the Piazza Navona.
If I could say anything negative, it would be that the floors were a bit dusty, but it's a super dusty city and the windows are commonly left open for fresh air, so that's not unreasonable. Also, shower had a little water accumulation, but now I am just being picky.
I regret that I left Italy just before my scheduled arrival in Rome due to a death in my family. My traveling companion went on to use our reservation from Sergio. As far as I know, he was exceptionally pleased with both the accommodation and the location.
Sergio was a great host. His apartment is really central, spacious, clean, well furnished with really comfy beds. He arrived very quickly once knowing that we were at the apartment. He brought with him a map of Rome and spent time explaining where all the sites are and how to get to them. He also provided us with some local knowledge of where was best to get breakfast and other meals - and his recommendations didn't disappoint. He was very accommodating when we asked for a slightly later check out. All in all an amazing first trip to Rome made that much better having a great place to stay. I would highly recommend to anyone Sergio's apartment to anyone travelling to Rome.
We stayed at Sergio's apartment just recently. Sergio organised our airport transfer and made us feel very welcome on our arrival. Although he wasn't feeling well, he spent time with us pointing out the sights/shops/restaurants on a map. There is also a Rome Lonely Planet in the apartment, which was also very useful. The apartment worked very well four a family of five, plenty of space, the lift was also excellent after a day out and about. You can basically walk everywhere from the apartment, no need to use public transport or taxis, it really is a very good location. Sergio was always available and responded quickly to any questions. Highly recommend this accomodation.
Sergio was a welcoming host, providing all information we needed prior to our trip and meeting us when we arrived. The apartment was beautiful, comfortable, and in a wonderful and central neighborhood of Rome with easy walking access to so many of Rome's sites. We appreciated the decor and comfort of all rooms in the apartment, and the extras like the espresso machine and coffee, and use of a guidebook for Rome. We recommend this place for a couple or a family or a small group of friends.
Recomendo totalmente!
