Other Things to Note

The pool can be heated, but it is an extra $175 US Dollars per week to cover the cost of the gas. You can decide to heat it only certain days, and the rate will be prorated at $25 US Dollars per day and charged accordingly. Please let us know before you arrive if you would like it heated for your arrival. Otherwise, you can coordinate with the house staff.
Check-in is between 3 and 5pm. If you need to check-in later, we can arrange to have someone to meet you. If you need to check out before 9am, we would need to arrange to have someone meet you at the house to get the keys, lock up, and set the alarm. Whether it is a late check-in or early check-out, we ask that you tip the person meeting you $20 US Dollars or $250 Pesos.
While we allow pets, we do need to approve their size and number. We charge an additional pet deposit and renters are responsible for any damage caused by their animals.

Beautiful house, great staff, and perfect location. We had an amazing time during our stay in San Miguel.
100% recomendable, esta muy bien ubicada, en muy buen estado, la descripción es muy exacta, definitivamente me alojaria nuevamente ahi.
The house is a green courtyard dream, the small but deep pool refreshing, impeccable bedrooms and grand living room. Location is perfect, all of San Miguel can be discovered on foot. We felt very much at home.
The house is perfectly located - just a few short blocks from the Jardin, Parque Juarez, and a multitude of restaurants and other sights. The house itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The bedrooms all open out onto a courtyard with pool. It is perfectly set up for a family vacation as we could explore the town by foot in the morning, then bring the kids back for a swim in the afternoon. Rob was a wonderful host, making sure the house was stocked with what we needed on arrival as well as arranging reliable transportation to and from the airport and our subsequent destination. The housekeeper was wonderful, and her attention to detail made our stay all the more relaxing.
Wonderful home; perfect for a family. Housekeeper was terrific, taking care of us in many ways. Setting idyllic. Most importantly, Rob was especially helpful and understanding - beyond the call of duty - even when we had a glitch in our travel plans.
We had a wonderful time at Rob's house in San Miguel. The place is really even more beautiful than the photos. We spend 2 weeks there. The main square is an easy and charming 2 block walk away. There are many restaurants, galleries and shops within very easy walking distance.
The house itself is spacious and beautifully furnished. The pool is lovely. The housekeeper/cook was also amazing, and took very good care of us. She cooked us lunch every day except Sunday at our request, and that made for an amazing mid-day family experience that was unparalleled.
I would highly recommend staying here. Rob was very easy to communicate with and responded via the AirBnB messaging system very quickly both before and during our stay. He and the staff were very responsive to our needs.
I had an incredible stay and a dream come true at this beautiful home. It was more than I could have ever asked for - much better than the cost to have stayed at an upscale hotel because it's historic, private, charming, quiet, had a pool, a great staff, etc. I cannot say enough wonderful things about it. This home is an experience. To put it into words is like trying to describe how if feels to describe joy and peace to someone. You have to experience it to know it.
I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay with us in San Miguel. It is still a magical place, even though it has changed in the last 10 years.
We would love to host you again so please let us know your dates as soon as you can. The house is already booked for the last two weeks of October.
I know Marcelo Valenzuela and have used his services. He is a great guy; thanks for the tip.
All the best to you,

I am an architect who has lived and worked in Mexico for the last 20 years. I enjoy travel all over the world, and normally rent houses almost where ever I go. My favorite destinations are Buenos Aires and Spain. I also enjoy food, wine and entertaining.
