This lovely 300 year old colonial Mexican home is is well located in the historic center of San Miguel de Allende, just two blocks from the "Jardin" or main square. It includes a swimming pool and daily maid/cook service.

The space

This lovely 300 year old colonial Mexican home is is well located in the historic center of San Miguel de Allende, just two blocks from the "Jardin" or main square.

The single story home wraps around a traditional Mexican patio with a heated swimming pool as its focal point. All rooms open to a covered walkway that circles the patio.

The property includes three bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom and fireplace. There is also a powder bath just off the patio. The first bedroom has a king size bed, the second has two twin beds and the third has a queen size bed.

The dramatic indoor living area has 16 foot ceilings and consist of a large great room with dining and living areas and a fireplace. This space opens to a spacious library with a partners desk and sitting area with a TV, plus another wood burning fireplace.

There is an outdoor "sala" or living room with a wood burning fireplace. This space opens to the outdoor dining area in the central patio.

The kitchen is well appointed and has a breakfast table for informal meals.

The house is staffed with a maid 6 days a week and a part time pool/garden boy. In addition to keeping the house clean, the maid can cook one meal a day. Groceries are not included but she will do the shopping for you if you would like.

Other things to note

It is the custom in San Miguel de Allende to tip the maid 5% of the total rental amount a guest pays. Just as you would do in a restaurant, you can adjust this based on the service you receive.

The pool can be heated, but it is an extra $175 US Dollars per week to cover the cost of the gas. You can decide to heat it only certain days, and the rate will be prorated at $25 US Dollars per day and charged accordingly. Please let us know before you arrive if you would like it heated for your arrival. Otherwise, you can coordinate with the house staff.

Check-in is between 3 and 5pm. If you need to check-in later, we can arrange to have someone to meet you. If you need to check out before 9am, we would need to arrange to have someone meet you at the house to get the keys, lock up, and set the alarm. Whether it is a late check-in or early check-out, we ask that you tip the person meeting you $20 US Dollars or $250 Pesos.

Rob's home is truly a gem! It embodies all the very best attributes of San Miguel. Beautiful architecture, gracious design, and a friendly staff to make one feel very much at home. From the moment we walked through the bog double doors of the home and into the magnificent central courtyard, I knew we had chosen well. Rob, our host, couldn't have made it easier. He was kind enough to set a car service up to pick us up and return to the airport, an after hours check in was arranged and we awoke the next morning to a lovely breakfast prepared by his wonderful housekeeper who discreetly sipped in to prepare our meal and set it at a wonderful outdoor table. If you love San Miguel, as we have come to, treat yourself to a stay at this beautifully alpine Ted home in the center of town. Great location. Great home. Great host! Thank you, Rob!

We had such an amazing stay in San Miguel. The house is even better in person that the pictures show and you can't beat the location. The optional service available is amazing and the house couldn't be cleaner or more comfortable. Rob runs this place very professionally and everything went extremely smoothly. Would highly recommend staying at this place (which I already have). We have been to San Miguel numerous times and you can beat this place.

The perfect space for a family vacation (we had 6). Spacious, comfortable and close to everything. The rest of our family were envious as they chose smaller places. Rob is the perfect host, answering our questions quickly and ensuring our stay was more than we could expect. The home itself is inspiring, tall ceilings, outside seating, perfect sized pool for us. Much more than the pictures represent. We hope to be back soon.

This was one of the most amazing Airbnb's I've ever stayed at! It was absolutely stunning - the photos don't do it justice. Absolutely blown away. Rob was super quick getting back to us and everything from checkin to check out was a breeze. We were so sad to leave. One of the most epic houses in the middle of one of the most magical cities. Such a great destination to explore the beautiful town of San Miguel. Hope to visit again!

Can't think of a better location. This property is beautifully maintained, decorated, and staffed. Easy walk to the Jardin, to the Juarez park, to many restaurants and shops. The owner provided great recommendations for activities, eating and shopping. Isabel cooked wonderful breakfasts, and kept the property perfectly clean. Rob is a very helpful owner.
