Vania’s place is very centrally located, easy to walk almost everywhere in district 1. Still not loud, dangerous or hectic – although walking as a man in the night you cannot avoid the offerings of ”massage” in central Saigon, also in Van’s street.
The room is clean and spacious, aircon works well. Nice to have a small fridge, and the iced coffee outside is great. Vania and the family are very helpful, and also do quick laundry with a small fee. Van’s mother even gave me a small gift when I left. Will definitely be back if I go to Saigon again.
Vania and her family welcomed me at 3am with no problem. The rooms are nice, clean and private. The location is very central and not full of tourists.
Thank you for being a great host, Vania! I would definitely recommend staying here and will when I return.
I stayed for three nights just before the Tet period with my wife. Vania and her family are really nice hosts. They were very polite and kind... Location is perfect...! It is very close to the backpackers' area and Ben Thanh Market moreover on a very quiet street. Room was a spacious room with the basics... I can only say that the bed could be more comfortable. Highly recommend...
Vania is a delightful and accommodating host. She allowed me to extend my stay for an extra 3 nights. Her family is also extremely friendly and her Father is a really good cook. His fresh spring rolls are delicious!
The room is spacious, very clean, the air conditioning works well, the shower is fine and the hotplate and fridge are very handy. The location is really good - just a stone's throw from Bui Vien, but much quieter as it is down a little alley. Also feels very secure. The central part of District 1 is an easy 15 minute walk away.
I will be happy to return here anytime I am visiting Saigon! It's good value and much friendlier than any hotel I have stayed in.
Nice basic room had a job finding it. Host Vania very nice.
I had a lovely time staying with Vania, she & her family were wonderfully gracious hosts. The room was clean & perfect, every thing one might need including drinking water supply, air conditioning, mini fridge, hot plate and en suite bathroom. It was like renting a neat little studio apartment. When returning to Saigon I would not hesitate to book the room again.
I've had a great time staying with Vania and her family. If you're considering this place, drop what you're doing and book now. It's been a great experience and I highly recommend it.
First about the room: The room is just as advertised. It's very clean and well maintained. You get a lot of space for a great price.
I like that there is an elevator in the building and that the location is really convenient to go to Bui Vien.
Now for the best part: Vania and her family are really great. The first night I got there it was her mother's birthday and I got to partake in a Vietnamese birthday party. I've also gotten to experience great home cooked food. As well as spending time with Vania and her friends. So in a way you're getting a great homestay experience if you want it.
Next time I'm in Saigon, I'm coming back here.
excellent location - 5 mins walk from Ben Thanh market, room is clean, host is nice. It is more like a family hotel, each room with toilet/shower and fridge. I was more expecting to stay 'with a family' so i am somewhat disappointed. Location is very quiet, outside there is a road side cafe with the nicest lady - definitely recommanded.
Internet is somehow weak, in my room sometimes do not have connection, the strongest connection is at the main entrance of the building :P.
I was a bit disappointed by the bed, too soft and making some noise when moving, and pillows too hard, i finally decided to sleep without pillow.
overall, i am happy with the condition of the room, and more of the location. if you want to get away with the noisy main street and backpacker area, this would be a good choice.
I stayed with Vania and her family for a week in August 2013. The atmosphere at her place is really chill and you have no restrictions on what time you come and leave. Even prepared a traditional Vietnamese meal with her family over the weekend. The place is centrally located and really close to all the tourist spots. Would highly recommend staying with her.
