Other Things to Note
* SAIGON - YOU WILL NEVER GET BORED:
I have been grown up and living here for more than 25 years, I‘ve been in a few countries but Saigon is always the place I want to be most, a place to return, a place to live and enjoy a real interesting life. Saigon never stops surprising me when I thought I know my city so well but oops there is always something new await for me everyday. I have just found out a great “Bún Thịt Nướng” (grill pork noodle) street food hidden right behind of a very famous Coffee shop on Dong Khoi Street, it has been always there for 10 years and I have just known it. Or a place on the top of a very big and nice shopping mall in central dist 1 but serve a set lunch only 50,000 VND (2 dollars) for a full set of Vietnamese lunch meal.
So believe me, you will love Saigon once you have sometime to spend here. People are nice and friendly, streets full of motorbikes and noises but full of energy and joy. I live at my house for all of my life, we have just been rebuilt the house for 5 years, so the house is new but the people and the location is still the same. There is so much things happen in the area that you will find it amazing to discover everyday and of course if you stay here, I would like to show you some of my favorite places of Saigon. A 10 years old nice smoothies and juice stand, a great and authentic Pho restaurant has just opened by a northern guy, a nice rooftop bar just next to Ben Thanh market, a day and night market with so much interesting things to buy for your souvenirs, a pizza restaurant owned by a Japanese which is so tasty and I guarantee you will be fall in love to their pizzas once you try them, etc.
I feel very lucky to be born, grow up and live at my current house now, not only because it has amazing location, but also it's like a connection between me and this city. It's located in an alley which is so center and quite, the fact that it is away from noisy pack back area is the most appealing with so many visitors but if you want to walk to the pack back street, it takes you only 5 minutes to walk there, you will see a very different living style there. From my house, you can easily to discover many different areas of Saigon, you can take motorbike, taxi or bus to everywhere and if you don't know your plan yet, I would like to give you some suggestion from a perspective of a Vietnamese who lived and grown up here. There are so many places which are not listed in your guide book but only a local can show you.
Last but not least, myself and my family are very friendly and hospitable people. We have welcomed so many guests overseas and I am sure that you will find a very nice, comfy and warm stay at my place !

- No smoking inside the house
- No prostitution

From the outset I felt welcomed by Vania and family.
Both the accommodations and location were great.
I highly recommend their home.
It was a nice place but I had to leave because of the noisy construction next door. I never met Vania but she was always very helpful to answer my questions or concerns by phone or email. Her family was very nice. Her dad took me to get a SIM card, her mom was very pleasant and gave me free local coffee when I left, and her little brother is a cool kid. Too bad about the noise (and the cockroach)!
Van and her family are amazing!!! This was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and i could not have picked a better host.
She gives off her time, she shares her space happily, she even shares her friends who are just as amazing as she is.
I went to Vietnam without a plan or a clue and everyday Van helped me figure out interesting things to do, she answered all my questions and her and I hung out a lot, which was lots of fun.
Van's family is just as great, her mom is attentive, funny and kind, her brothers are chivalrous and her dad and sister are sweet. They helped me with everything from taking my luggage up to my room, hailing me a cab to and from the airport, helping organise a trip to Hanoi, and even walking me out in the late night hours.
My stay was a totally beautiful experience and i will not hesitate to return to Van's house when i revisit Vietnam.
I loved every single moment of my trip and Van made it that much more amazing.
The room is comfortable and spacious. The space is always clean - Van's mom cleans every single day. The water is warm, the kitchen is fully resourced and all the amenities mentioned are in perfect condition. The wifi was great as well, had good speeds all the time.
I have zero complaints about my stay and would go back in a heartbeat.
Thanks Van, for everything. I will be seeing you again very soon, hahaha.
I stayed 4 nights at Vania's place. The room is exactly as described, well furnished with a refrigerator and plenty of bottled water. It is just a couple blocks away from Pham Ngu Lao street, the Thai Binh Market and the Fine Art Museum. Very well placed.
When I arrived, Vania took time to walk with me around the block to show me what might be of interest. During my stay, I broke something minor in the washroom and it was fixed right away. She and her family took really care of me.
I would have no hesitation to recommend Vania's place.
However, as some others have mentioned, there is a house being constructed just besides Vania's house. That could be very noisy sometimes. It could be a good idea to ask about the construction before booking.
I found Vania and her family very friendly and accommodating! Their house is in a brilliant location to explore district 1. I am very pleased I stayed and would definitely stay again if I was in Saigon! The only negative is that there is building work going on next door, which is very loud so if you want to have a lie in or afternoon nap you may need ear plugs :-)
Vania made me feel very welcome. She took me to a wonderful "Vietnamese pancake" place and a bubble tea place and was very genuinely nice. I felt very welcomed by her, her family and friends. The neighborhood is very conveniently located near a large market. Vania is obviously a very caring person who wants her guests to feel at home in Saigon. I learned a lot about the culture, food, and language from just a few conversations and wish I could have made a longer stay.
It is easy to find both tourist-friendly places to eat in the area as well as local places. The area also felt very safe, along with the whole city really. The description and photo of the place are very accurate. The place was spotless and the privacy was observed and respected.
The family were very warm and welcoming. The location is really good and central, easy to walk to most sights. The room and the house is very clean and spacious. The only down side is the construction site next door, which starts is banging and bashing quite early (which is a great encouragement to get out and about early!)

I'm Vân but can call me Vania in case some people can't speak my original name. Vania's sense is "Bring good new", that means i want to bring good new to everyone i know and i also love to receive good new from others.
I love Art the most, that's why now i'm an designer to create many wonderful things for life, people and myself.
Furthermore, i have passion for Music, Movie, Book, Photography, Travelling and Cooking.
I'm also a member of a volunteer tourguide club named Saigonhotpot in Ho Chi Minh City, if you want to travel Saigon with a free tourguide, you can ask me.
Moreover, i'm Vietnamese tutor, so if you want to know more about Vietnamese, i'm glad to teach my language.
Now i've just travelled around Vietnam, but for sure in the near future, i will discover another countries. When i start travelling, hope i will meet nice host through Airbnb, i'm not grumpy person so don't worry, just please host me well if i meet you (someone i haven't known yet).
Last but not least, i'm a nice host, you can check it true or not when you rent my house. I love to give a "friend" tour to my guests (if guests love that), but it depends on my time, sometimes i'm very very busy and you will not see my face. For sure if i have time, will help you go around and know more about my city.
Hm think i write too much about myself, it's time for me to stop.
Thank you for reading me !
