One off-street parking space is provided right outside the door.

Interaction with Guests
If we're home during your stay, our bedroom has it's own bath, and is nicely situated to provide privacy and serenity to the guest rooms. We're adaptable to a wide range of interaction levels with guests; you set the tone.
The home is situated just 1.5 miles south of the shores of beautiful Lady Bird Lake, Zilker Park & Barton Springs Pool. You're less than a mile from the Barton Creek Green Belt. You are right in the middle of the transitioning, booming, exploding South Lamar (SoLa) neighborhood. There are 100 retail shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues alone on the 3.5-mile stretch of Lamar between Lady Bird Lake and Ben White Boulevard and more opening all the time. The influx has created some interesting contrasts — with boutique shops, trendy salons and hip restaurants coexisting with taxidermy shops and honky-tonks. If mexican food is your thing, this is smack dab in the middle of Tex-Mex heaven, folks. Easy walk to Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co., Olivia, Barley Swine tapas, Henri's wine and cheese, Lick ice cream, LuLu B's vietnamese, Horseshoe Lounge, El Meson, Black Sheep, Sezon, East Side King and a 24-hour CVS. A very short distance to Uchi, Odd Duck, Barlotta, Winebelly, Habanero, Matt's El Rancho, Maria's Taco Village, Torchy's Tacos, Gordough's Public House & Kerby Lane Cafe. So, so many more . . .
Uber and Lyft are currently not operating in Austin due to a dispute with the City. Alternative ride-hailing apps for getting around Austin are, in no particular order:
-Ride Austin Non-Profit TNC (launched June 1, 2016)
-Wingz (pre-arranged to/from airport trips)
These companies are fairly new and we have had good and bad experiences. I'm sorry I can't recommend one over the other at this point - just not enough experience yet.
Yellow Cab is dependable. Their phone app is:
At the airport, you can jump in any cab. Between the condo and the airport, a cab will cost about $30 with tip. They do take credit cards. There's also a ride sharing service, Wingz, that we've taken. There's an app, and you need to set it up in advance.
The city bus can be a great way to get around town, depending on where you're headed. The bus IS NOT a good way to get from the airport to the condo or vice-versa. The phone app for the bus:
-CapMetro (City bus)
The bus is especially convenient to/from the downtown area. The two nearest bus stops are about a five minute walk from our place. The CapMetro phone app allows you to plan trips, purchase tickets in advance and then scan your phone on the bus, but you can also just use cash. Some buses have free WiFi.
From the airport, you can also use Super Shuttle (sign up near the rental cars.) You might have several other riders on board. Depending on how many others and where they are going, and in what order folks are dropped off, this could take longer than other options, but only costs about $15.
Using Car2Go requires a membership card. It takes several days for your identity and credit card to be verified, and to receive the access card my mail. If you don't mind using the built-in navigation and driving in an unfamiliar city, it's only slightly less expensive than ride-hailing, but about the same as Super Shuttle. ($17 or so.) You'll take the shuttle from the terminal for The Parking Spot (remote parking), and tell the driver you're using Car2Go. When you get to our condo, you can leave the Car2Go right outside the gate on the street.
There's a city bike rental program called "B-Cycle." The nearest station is on South Congress, not very near us. B-cycle might be a good way to get around downtown, once you're there, but not for getting to/from home. There are other opportunities to rent bikes. Progression Cycle is the nearest place to our condo - 10 minute walk. Next closest is Bicycle Sport Shop on south Lamar (15 minute bus ride. Buses have bike racks.)
