I travel regularly, but if I'm home home during your stay, my bedroom has it's own bath, and is nicely situated to provide privacy and serinity to the guest rooms. I'm adaptable to a range of interaction levels with guests. I enjoy good conversation if you're up for it and have enjoyed sharing meals as well. I can just as easily be low impact.
The home is situated just 1.5 miles south of the shores of beautiful Lady Bird Lake, Zilker Park & Barton Springs Pool. You're less than a mile from the Barton Creek Green Belt. You are right in the middle of the transitioning, booming, exploding South Lamar (SoLa) neighborhood. There are 100 retail shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues alone on the 3.5-mile stretch of Lamar between Lady Bird Lake and Ben White Boulevard and more opening all the time. The influx has created some interesting contrasts — with boutique shops, trendy salons and hip restaurants coexisting with taxidermy shops and honky-tonks. If mexican food is your thing, this is smack dab in the middle of Tex-Mex heaven, folks. Easy walk to Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co., Olivia, Barley Swine tapas, Henri's wine and cheese, Lick ice cream, LuLu B's vietnamese, Horseshoe Lounge, El Meson, Black Sheep, Sezon, East Side King and a 24-hour CVS. A very short distance to Uchi, Odd Duck, Barlotta, Winebelly, Habanero, Matt's El Rancho, Maria's Taco Village, Torchy's Tacos, Gordough's Public House & Kerby Lane Cafe. So, so many more . . .
It's a 5 minute walk to the bus stop. You are 3 miles from the intersection of 6th Street and Congress, the heart of downtown: 10 minutes by car, 20 minutes by bike, and 25 minutes by bus. You are within the Car-2-Go operation zone, so you can often pick a car up within walking distance and park it right out front when you're through with it. Car-2-Go is also a great way to get to and from the airport for about $10.

Awesome location. Cool condo. Fun host. Doug rocks and I'd totally stay at here again!
Doug was a fantastic host for me when I stayed about 10 days at his condo. From the beginning, he was responsive and helpful with working out the logistics. The home is remarkable - a modern, upscale residence that I really enjoyed staying in.
The bedroom and bathroom were spotless and very comfortable. The kitchen and laundry room were great as well.
I felt like I was in a high end boutique hotel while at the same time relaxed and comfortable thanks to Doug's friendly and easy going nature.
I've already booked a couple of future stays when I come back to town. Thanks a lot Doug!!
Wow! What a perfect experience. This townhome is immaculate, smartly furnished, spacious, comfortable and secure. The host was not present for our stay but it is obvious the attention to detail that is given to providing comfortable, well appointed accommodations.
Only minutes from downtown by automobile or bicycle and close to bus routes. The rooftop deck provides an amazing view of the skyline.
Given the quality of accommodations and superb location, the rate is a bargain. HIghest rating!
Beautiful home, perfect location and a great host. The rooftop view of downtown is incredible and every part of my stay was great. Thanks Doug, your house is awesome!
Doug provided a comfortable experience for my Austin weekend. The room was large. I slept very well on the firm, queen size bed. The bathroom was spotless. Linens were nice. Parking was safe for both my motorcycle(driveway) & car w/ trailer(street). Overall Doug's townhouse had the amenities of a 4 star hotel. Also, Doug handled everything in a timely and friendly manner.
The SoLa areas is quiet and convenient to downtown. You can catch a bus at the street corner. Many restaurants are walking distance. Nightlife is a short taxi ride away.
I would not hesitate to book again.
