The Space

The room has its own private entry and ensuite bathroom with an outdoor bathtub. The villa has a beautiful pool set in a large, lush tropical garden. Its so quiet its hard to believe the shops, bars, restaurants and beach are only 5 minutes walk away!

The room is air-conditioned and has a fridge. It has a queen size bed and can also accommodate a single bed if needed.
The ensuite bathroom is perfect for tropical living as it opens into the garden so that you can take a bath under the stars.

The villa is in a cul-de-sac so its very quiet with no traffic noise at all. Its almost impossibly to imagine that its only one street back from the wonderful shops, bars and restaurants in Sanur, and less than 10 minutes to walk to Sanur beach.
Guests can access all areas of the house including the kitchen, TV room and music room. There is a lovely bale (outdoor gazebo) next to the pool. Staff come daily to clean the house and are excellent cooks if needed. We prefer to have our staff cook for you as they are used to the cooking equipment. You are free to use the kettle and toaster as well as the fantastic outdoor BBQ.

We are out at work every day during the week, so you will have plenty of privacy. Our staff will be around should you need assistance or advice.

Its easy to walk from the house to all the attractions of sanur or you can either take a taxi or we can organise a car and driver if you'd like to go further. We have two bicycles you are free to use if you want to ride on the Sanur beach path.

  • Sally's place was great for us - we could walk or ride to most places in Sanur, and Sally had lots of excellent suggestions for us as well as giving us access to her bikes. The room is clean and comfortable, and her staff looked affter us very well. The swimming pool was great for an afternoon refresh and we often came home to cool down for a bit before going back out for dinner. Sally's driver Wayan took us on a lovely day trip, using an itinerary Sally had suggested to us, as well as adding some extra stops of his owm - his hospitality to us was exceptional.

    Thanks Sally.

  • Relaxed, welcoming place to stay. A lovely feel, and Sally looked after us. Great to have bikes to borrow, and area around the house - inc pool and garden - relaxing during the day. Lots of information and suggestions for places to eat, things to see - Sally's hand-drawn map very useful indeed.

Thank you Sally and Yitno. We had three wonderful days in Sanur.

  • I spent a real great time in Sally's villa. I enjoyed the breakfast, the pool, the nice garden, the room and its opened bathroom, the location so close to the beach and restaurants (using the bike available). Sanur is a quiet place which was perfect. Above all, Sally was so nice to advise me for my trip in Bali. She organised somme travels like a trekking on the volcano. And I spent very good time with our discussions. Thanks for everything.
And one day, you'll kill the chicken !

  • This place feels like home. The garden is a piece of heaven (despite the somewhat noisy neighbours that live next door). Sally is a warm and welcoming person, she made our stay nice and comfortable, even though because of her work we didn't get to see her as much as we wuld have liked.

Her friend and staff are very nice people too, and thanks to their kindness it was a very relaxing stay.

The house is in a small alley, just behind the main road; using a shortcut you get to the main road (markets, restaurants, shopping, and the beach) in approximately 3 to 5 minutes walking - and you get to discover the "gangs", which are back alleys where indonesian families live. ! You'll cross kids and people working, playing and relaxing. Very nice experience, the side of Bali only a few people see.

We encountered a few dogs (they belong to the families), but even though some of them bark, they are shy and rather funny after a day or two. One even became our friend, and followed us everywhere for treats :)

  • We had a really nice time in Sanur while staying at Sally's house. Sally is a friendly person and got us many tips for good restaurants, trips and did a good job as a host. The house is good located and close to the main street, restaurants and the beach. You can do all by foot.
She got really nice staff. It was always clean and we got a cooking class as well:-)
Sally arranged the transportation from the airport and a nice trip to some attractions we wanted to see in South Bali. We felt welcome. Thanks for the excellent stay.

About
I am Australian and have been living in Bali for nearly seven years. I live with my partner who is from Java and our two cats. I own and work at a counselling centre in Bali. I am also an educational coordinator for an Australian university. I bring occupational therapy students from the Uni to work here with an orphanage and a school for children with disabilities. My partner works with the students also, providing translation services and other support. I love living in Indonesia and hope I can share some of my passion for the country with visitors.
