Monica was a great host! We loved the space and the neighborhood. I highly recommend staying here.
Monica was very helpful and kind, the cottage is exactly as pictured and very clean. We loved the back yard and her being so dog friendly! The position is utterly convenient for leisure/tourism and the neighborhood very nice and peaceful. Definitely a place to recommend!
I really enjoyed my stay at Monica's East Atlanta Cottage. It was a tranquil experience whenever I stepped outside and saw the bamboo garden festooned with lights. The interior of the cottage was very clean and comfortable. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the city of Atlanta.
This place is amazing!!! 5 stars.. Great location, clean and very stylish cottage. Larger than we thought from the pics. Monica was very accommodating and great communication. Great backyard for our pooch Billie. Can't say enough about how great this bnb is!
We requested early check in for 8:30 am and Monica was open to welcome us in that early morning.
Rooms was very clean, nice, and cozy.
It is only about 10-15 min driving to great dining areas of the city.
Neighborhood is very quite and safe too.
We would more than love to stay in Monica's cottage again when we get a chance.
Thank you Monica.
Pros: Very nice place with plenty of privacy. Monica was there to suggest good restaurants/bars as well as address any other needs we may have. She was flexible with check in and check out time and was very friendly, trusting, and respectful of privacy upon our arrival. She even sent us over two better pillows on our second night and brought us a few tealight candles for our evening and the outdoor patio was gorgeous. Everything in the bungalow was new and clean fresh off the Ikea shelves. It's a very small bathroom but very clean and the water is warm with plenty of pressure. The linens were fresh and the place was spotless with basic utensils for cooking and eating. Parking was a breeze in very quiet, clean, and safe neighborhood. Compared to what you'll pay to park cars overnight in downtown, this is a huge advantage especially when you have two vehicles. I was comfortable leaving both of our cars parked outside along the street at night.
Cons: The bed is a very short, small, and thin and hard mattress from Ikea and it did not provide for a comfortable sleep at all. We both tossed and turned constantly during our sleep. I am only 5'10 and my feet were right at the very edge of the bed frame. The thin window shades do not do a very good job blocking out the light from outside and two windows up high were not shaded at all. If you plan to sleep in past the sunrise, I recommend you ask Monica to place covering over these two windows. The TV worked fine but it is very small compared to what you'll find in most hotel rooms these days. I think it was only around 20" so viewing it from laying in the bed wasn't the best TV experience. Also, a small microwave and DVD player would have been a nice amenity. The driveway was also too steep for my very low Corvette to go up it but there is plenty of street parking along the street.
Monica was an excellent hostess, She's very responsive & makes every effort to make your stay very comfortable. Accommodations was very clean (yeah!) and tidy, Hot water was not an issue when using the shower. During our stay we used both the heater & ac due to weird ATL weather, You might be better off having a car if you stay since the area is more residential and public transportation is further out. Although we didn't have a microwave, the stovetop took care of our cooking needs.
Everything was perfect. From the Enchanted Evening Entrance right down to every last tasteful detail in the bungalow itself. Not to mention Monica herself who is an angel. She manages charming friendly helpful welcoming hostess with the giving of complete space and privacy. If you're scouring listings in Atlanta and this listing is available, just shut those other ones down and book this one now!
Great location in a quiet neighborhood and a terrific host!
Second stay in this sweet little bungalow. Monica had made some additions since our last stay which only added to the comfort level. Can't say enough great things about this host & the property!
