Interaction with Guests
We usually greet folks on their arrival; however,
we realize this is a quiet get away for folks and tend to leave our guests to experience the beautiful surroundings and enjoy their privacy.
This is a quiet country setting with rolling hills surrounded by apple orchards, redwoods and vineyards.
We request no smoking, loud music or drugs.
The guest house is limited to 2 adults; we
can accommodate one child. A portable crib is available.
Judy welcomed us just as we drove up to the guest house, we think she was just coming from tending to her goats and chickens. The house was great just as described. We loved the view of the distant ocean from the dinning table window and the stars from the deck. We enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi in the pool house and even dipped into the unheated pool. The grounds and surrounding area are beautiful, we highly recommend a visit.
Judy's guest house gave us a perfect escape. The interior is a lovely combination of modern and cozy, with tons of light streaming in through south- and west-facing windows. We enjoyed the sight of goats, wild turkeys, and chickens amidst the country/vineyard setting. Judy and her husband were exceedingly welcoming when we met in passing. But we similarly got to enjoy both the guest house and the sauna/spa privately and as if they had been our own.
My wife and I had great stay and would Judy was extremely easy to communicate with. She let us know that there was going to be a baby shower on their property the weekend we stayed and offered to refund the cost, but we were out all Saturday so no problem at all.
The guest house is perfect for 2 people and has everything you need. There is even DirectTV with HBO! Only downside is that there isn't blinds on all the windows, so it gets hot in there (even in November) and you're woken up when the sun comes up. This isn't anything to complain about though, and I'd still recommend it to anyone looking for a secluded getaway.
Be sure to check out the goats and chickens in the morning out the back window. Also, the sunset over the hills looking towards the ocean is stunning!
Very easy to get to, and I'd just recommend driving there during the day as it's a little hard to navigate in the dark even with a GPS.
A most beautiful stay in a well-equipped guest house. Views of the Pacific in the distance with their beautiful vineyard in the foreground. Their estate has been sensitively and beautifully developed with lots of green technologies, but has every feeling of luxury. Would have loved to have stayed longer. Comfy bed included :)
This was a great place for my girlfriend and I to relax after a hectic few months of work and busy city life. We used the guest house as our home base for activities down in Monterey and Carmel along with some much needed relaxation in Santa Cruz. The amazing sunset and beautiful view of the ocean were ideal and Judy's puppy, Jax, and the friendly cat (didn't catch her name) were awesome.
I love the secluded location even though town was close enough for it to be convenient to pick up weekend necessities up. I would highly recommend this location for a stay.
This was my first AB&B experience
We had a wonderful stay at the property. The photos well represent the character of the accommodations. The room is very well maintained and the pool area is absolutely gorgeous. It was quite relaxing peaceful extended weekend. Judy and Peter were gracious hosts and couldn't have been nicer.
I would highly recommend staying here…
Wonderful. Second time I have stayed here and it's always peaceful and serene. High quality and private. Exceptional stay.
My husband and I have an active organic working vineyard on the property. We take care of all aspects of the vineyard and winery. I prefer to view the vineyard chores as a zen-like experience rather than labor pruning and maintaining the vines.
We produce a wonderful estate bottled Pinot Noir wine.
Our 4 children are grown and living away from home now.
There are free range chickens living the good life in the vineyard and
2 sweet pygmy goats enjoy munching on our weeds!
