The space

On a residential street, a short drive to the Sonoma Square, and surrounded by the region's best wineries, restaurants, shops, parks and hiking/biking trails. This is a modern cottage in a neighborhood location.

Each of the two bedrooms has a plush Queen bed with a memory foam topper, and French doors opening out to a wrap around deck and garden. The bathroom has a double vanity, soaking tub and heated floors. The fully equipped chef's kitchen has Viking appliances, a dishwasher, quartz counters and views to the front garden. The dinning and living area flow seamlessly from the kitchen, with additional views of the greenery. There are stain glass windows, custom light fixtures and hardwood floors throughout.

In the back garden, under an antique apple tree are lounge chairs, recliners and umbrellas perfect for enjoying a book or soaking up the sun. Beneath an old plum tree stands a family-style dinning table. Enjoy breakfast in the front garden with the sound of the rock fountain and the smell of jasmine and roses.

A bottle of wine and fresh flowers welcome you. PEET's French Press coffee and espresso, as well as selection of teas, are provided. Two bicycles, wi-fi, HDTV cable, HBO, and board games are furnished for your entertainment.

For guests who need accommodation for a fifth person, the living room's platform sofa can be used as a single bed when the back cushions are removed.

Guest access

Guests have access the main part of the house, but are restricted from the side unit and shed.

Interaction with guests

We greatly appreciate forthcoming communication with guests, as we hope to avoid surprises and unmet expectations.

The neighborhood

The home is located in the flat western part of the town of Sonoma, a residential area only a 5-10 minute drive to the Sonoma Square (1.6 miles). It is the more recently developed part of town that is mostly residential. While it is a corner unit, there are other neighborhood homes to its left and back and of course across the street. This part of Sonoma does not have side walks, so driving usually is the best option.

Getting around

Bringing a car would probably be best, as there is not much public transportation easily available. Car services can be hired if needed. Uber services the area.

Other things to note

Before confirming bookings, we like to email back and forth with our guests to get to know them a little. When sending a reservation request, please keep this in mind.

Holidays and long weekends have a three night minimum.

The Sonoma Tax Certificate Number is 1424N.

Why buy a getaway in Sonoma when you can just stay at Audrey's and reap all the benefits of the amazing work put into this little cottage. It's just as advertised - in s gorgeous and quiet setting, every detail of the cottage was well thought out and well appointed. You'll lack for nothing even in the kitchen and the welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch as well. We even got a rare personal tour from Audrey as she happened to be in town. You won't go wrong here. Great getaway for one or two couples!

Couldn't have asked for a better place (and host) while in town to enjoy the food, scenery and of course the wine. Audrey's place was the PERFECT spot to call "home" for a long weekend complete with a flower garden you only see in magazines. For those considering a resort in town vs Audrey's place (we were too) go with Audrey and don't look back. If planning to really enjoy the wine it is a quick and cheap Uber/Lyft to many ideal spots in town (and surrounding areas). A no brainer on all fronts.

Response from Audrey:
Hi Frank, Thank you for the lovely in depth review and for recommending us to the Airbnb community. Thank you too for the recommendation that we offer a multi cup coffee maker. We do have a single cup drip brew maker in the corner turn-style cabinet in the corner bottom to the right ( did you find it) of the sink as many guests like the french press system. Advice well taken. Thank you again. Audrey

Just what we were looking for in terms of a comfortable and beautiful living space when visiting wineries. Although it was raining and we could not use the secret garden it was very nice to look at. Highly recommended!

We had a great weekend at Audrey's house. It is modern and beautifully decorated. We loved the fresh flowers in every room and the chocolates and wine that were waiting for us! The beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. We couldn't use the gardens due to the rain but they look wonderful and relaxing. Audrey was a great hostess and was helpful with directions and any questions we had during our stay.

Thank you so much again Sara. Please return when the garden is in full bloom as a result of all of that beautiful rain!

Audrey's home was lovely! The home is a little secluded from the main downtown Sonoma area, but if you have a car its only a 5-10 min drive away. Beautiful garden, but we werent able to use it due to the winter time. would definitely come back!

A beautifully appointed and well situated home to explore town or head into wine country. The owner was very accessible and communicative when we needed help. Will definitely be back soon!

Audrey and her Sonoma home were absolutely wonderful. We loved the space -- the garden was gorgeous, and the house was a quick drive to downtown Sonoma. It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend!
