What a wonderful experience. Our host Barb and her husband Ron were extremely friendly and gracious hosts, the property and Frog Lake were beautiful and unique, and the cabin was cozy and well appointed. There is very good food available within 20 minutes driving distance, but fear not, when you are in Barb and Ron's care, you are far, far removed from the hustle and bustle of urban living. My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend that you stay here, be it in the very cool lighthouse, the canal boat, the cozy cabin, or the rv. You won't be disappointed.
Cozy, quaint and very special. We slept like babies and woke up to a mini-paradise. Barb and her husband were warm and pleasant. I really wish we could've stayed longer - the canoes that are offered to guests were begging to be used. Remember that this cabin has no drinking water, tissues or even waste basket, and it's a little bit of a walk from your car. So plan to hike in just what you need and pack everything out. Barb gave us a flashlight since the path is dark - which makes it even more special, of course.
Great cosy little cabin in a very scenic part of PA.
Lovely hosts with a variety of very interesting projects on the go - would be tempted to come back and stay in their English canal boat and working lock once completed - incredible!
If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, this is the place for you. When you venture through their gate, you are transported to another dimension where all is calm and peaceful, and stress fades away. Lots of places on the lake to stop and sit, and watch the various listen to the crickets and cicadas. Beds are comfy, and cabin is super cozy like a trip to good friends house. The hosts are friendly, and once you find out the history of the property you will be more impressed. There are a few fun friendly farm animals around, and nice short trail to walk.
It is a great place & a trip you won't soon forget!
Barb and Ron have a wonderful place on Frog Lake. From our first turn into the driveway all the way to the field in the woods past their house, everything was absolutely beautiful. The listing title describes it perfectly: it's truly a cozy cabin! I would definitely return.
Barb and Ron have created a unique environment. The cabin is on an artificial pond with a bullfrog serenade. The neighborhood would best be described as country side, hilly and quiet.
We spent a lovely time there and would be likely to return.
I only booked this cabin for a one day photo shoot but Barb was great. She was welcoming, friendly, helpful- everything you would want in a host. Her property has so many features. I was absolutely amazed. You certainly would never expect it when you turn off the main road and start heading down the driveway.
One thing I will mention though is the cabin that's pictured is maybe a stone's throw away from the main house. I was expecting something tucked back in the woods and a bit more secluded but, it still worked just fine for my purposes.
