*** NOVEMBER CONSTRUCTION DISCOUNT - It's possible there will be noisy construction on our property 8am-5pm during November. IF (and only if) there is noisy construction during your stay, nightly rate will be reduced by 10%. Please don't book if that is not agreeable. ***

Designed in the unique Santa Fe style architecture, Casa de Los Sueños (House of Dreams) has a very special ambiance. Your romantic and private one bedroom casita is perfect for a couple's weekend getaway, but with all the activity options of the Central Coast and amenities of home, it would be even better for longer stays!

At Casa de Los Sueños you'll find a comfy queen bed with fresh quality linens, ample towels, double basin sinks, stocked with the basics like soaps, shampoo/conditioner, hairdryer, even a washer and dryer...And Pete's Coffee for your first few days with us! The Central Coast has very moderate weather year round, with the exception of a few days per year, but just in case they occur during your visit you can enjoy a nice breeze from the bedroom and living room ceiling fans.

Feel free to grab our beach towels and picnic tote we've left for you to borrow, and head to the beach or some of our country road wineries for a day of leisurely exploration. Plan a visit to one of our many Farmer's Markets and prepare a delicious meal in your fully equipped kitchen (full-size fridge, stove-top, convection oven, dishwasher), or grill some fresh caught fish out on your secluded deck as you sip some Edna Valley wine.

After a day of taking in our beaches, trails, and wineries, unwind in front of the fireplace, catch a little satellite TV on one of the two flat screens (living room and bedroom), or use the WiFi and surf the internet looking for current local events for tomorrow's adventure. (WiFi password details are in your Welcome Book)

We've tried to be as eco-friendly as possible, both with design and lifestyle, so you will notice shaded terraces and decks to keep the house cool, drought resistant landscape, solar energy, bamboo flooring in kitchen and living room, etc. Since California is in a drought, please help us to minimize water use.

Guest access

You will have full use of the casita, its completely private deck, and bbq. There is designated parking for one car right next to the casita (please let us know if you require 2 spots). In addition to the deck, there is a sitting area in front of the casita AND coming in June, a new guest courtyard for your enjoyment - pictures coming soon!
The area beyond the gate between the main house and the casita are off limits to guests in order to keep our dogs safe. We need the gate to always be closed and latched, as they have free reign in this area.

Interaction with guests

We live on the 3 acre property, in the main house. We keep busy schedules, but will make every effort to greet you when you arrive. In the event that is not possible (especially for late check-ins), we will prearrange the details via email and make sure you have access, (and you can reach us on our cell phones).

Should you like privacy and seclusion, we are happy to oblige (the casita is perfect for this), but if you prefer more interaction, we are happy to tell you about the highlights of the area and make suggestions on where to eat and what to do, perhaps over a glass of wine!

Other things to note

This is a top-notch accommodation in a very convenient area close to the beaches and wineries. Every aspect is top quality and Frank and Elise are warm, caring, and take pride in offering the best hospitality possible. We tend to be particular, and could find nothing to criticize in this listing. We visited in October and it was unseasonably warm that weekend. It was comfortable in the casita and cooled off in the evenings, but I don't know that I'd want to visit in August without air conditioning. We will definitely be back to visit this lovely place. You will not be disappointed if you choose it, too!

Our stay started with 3 nights that went to 5 and finally 6!!! That is how wonderful our stay was! It was true R&R for us-a perfect place for us to unwind and enjoy all the central coast has to offer. Enjoying our own breakfast on the private deck started our days, followed by the sea, wineries, breweries and great dining. Elise and Frank could not have been more helpful with their suggestions and they were spot on! Their friendliness and attention to every little detail such as cleanliness and communication with us from the moment we booked is what sets them apart and made it the best stay we have ever had in an airbnb! We most definitely will be back to this lovely lovely place!

This place is a true gem, due to the location and how it is managed by Elise and Frank. The location is beautiful and less than a 10 minute drive from the beach and stores. The unit has nice amenities including a private patio, which we really enjoyed. The unit also was very clean! Thank you for making our 4-year wedding anniversary unforgettable! Jonathan and Sarah

This was our first time using Air B&B, Frank and Elise gave us the best experience we could ask for. The house was just like in the pictures. Elise made sure it was cleaned up as other guest left right before we got there. She had maps of near by places and also offered coupons to wine tasting. We enjoyed our stay and the view was amazing.

Exactly as it looks in the pictures it's a warm and welcoming southwestern-style casita--perfect for two people looking for a romantic getaway. Think house-sitting for Diego and Frida...but with wifi. Oh, and don't forget to bring access to your digital music so you can easily connect to the bluetooth-enabled receiver in the living room...which is connected to the wireless speakers lining the walls. A personal DJ's dream setup. Elise was perfectly communicative prior to our stay, providing us with all the information we needed, both about the house and the surrounding areas. And then after arriving we got a quick tour. Elise graciously showed us where to find great wine, great food, and great excursions around the area (spoiler alert: coupons included). Thank you, Elise and Frank! What an absolutely amazing three days we had at your beautiful casita. We will be back! -- Scott and Heather

We are lovers of people, travel and adventure, and although we travel the world extensively, we feel there is no better place to call home than California's beautiful Central Coast.

With the abundance of local activities, you are likely to spot us out hiking, kayaking, at a yoga class, music event or wine tasting in Edna Valley or Paso Robles. We also enjoy history and exploring archaeological sites, road trips in our trailer, river rafting, canyoneering and rappelling.

We love sharing our special haven, tucked back on 3 acres that Frank lovingly tends to, and are here to help make sure your stay in the San Luis Obispo area is both relaxing, and eventful. If you have a question about the area we can point you in the right direction ensuring the best possible experiences.

5 things we love best when we travel are a clean dwelling, comfy bed, luxurious linens, good coffee, and a helpful host...we're betting that you do too!
