We were very happy with our stay at Joke’s Amsterdam apartment. The apartment is ideally situated to important places of interest and is well served by a variety of shops including handy supermarkets. There is a tram stop just down the road that will take travellers through the centre of the city to Centraal.
The apartment is modern and well equipped with all that is necessary for a comfortable stay. The elevator works well and is large enough for all suitcases. Overtoom is a busy but interesting street and was particularly lively when Holland was playing in the World Cup. The bedroom at the rear of the apartment was quiet at night.
Joke (email hidden)e generously collected us from the airport and once we were at the apartment she took time to explain how everything worked including the wifi. She provided a range of food and drink supplies that made it easy for us to settle in after a long day’s travel.
We would not hesitate to recommend Joke’s apartment to anyone wishing to visit Amsterdam.
We had a wonderfull stay in Joke's place ! the best so far on Airbnb :)
The flat is really great, there is everything you need ! The location is also perfect, close to the museums and several supermarkets or restaurants.
Joke welcomed us with fresh bread and dutch cheese, after a long trip you really enjoy these little attentions. The best place to stay in Amsterdam ;)
Also if you don't feel confident with your english skills and you speak french I will recommend even more Joke's place!
Joke (email hidden), she was very kind and even greeted me at the station when I arrived, provided me with a lot of help information as well as some local recommendations. The apartment was exactly as photographed, the was a space in the fridge for me to use during my stay, great wifi. The apartment was in a great location. I was only in Amsterdam 4 nights but this all made my stay all the better. I would definitely recommend her to other visitors.
Joke, thanks for your meeting and everything . Apartments very cozy, stylish, pleasant atmosphere .Joke has very good taste. Excellent locatoin. We spent wonderful holiday. We dream to arrive still at warm season. We recommend.
One of our very best airbnb stays! Joke's flat exceeded our expectations. It is very conveniently located, within easy walking distance of the main museums, shops, cafes and transportation, tastefully decorated, and extremely comfortable. Joke, herself, was an excellent host - informative, personable, and caring. She even lend us a cell phone in case we needed to make any personal calls.
Joke's apartment is well positioned in Amsterdam, adjacent (email hidden) and bike rental shop and a 5 minute walk to Leidseplein (which is where our nights always started out -- great bar scene there). Her convenience to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum also make her apartment location superb. Joke was extremely friendly. Upon our arrival she had purchased eggs, bread, butter, orange juice, and left us some of her jams to eat in the morning. She was also very good at responding to my text messages if I had any questions. I would definitely come back to stay in Joke's place.
Also, she has an elevator in her building which makes her home very suitcase friendly!
Nice place. The host is very nice and helpful. Location is great. Would stay again.
Joke's Apartment is absolutely perfect for 2 persons. It is equipped with everything you might need and all systems work fine. The WLAN is safer to use than in most hotels. There are even 5 German TV channels. Joke is a very friendly and helpful host. We have enjoyed our one week stay very much and visited all important art museums (when you want to avoid queuing go there not later than 30 minutes after they opened) and visited all other sights by walking there. In the neighbourhood, there is a very good AH supermarket and cafes and restaurants.
Our stay at Joke's apartment was a lovely experience. The apartment is well organized, clean and accessable to museums, shopping, grocery and bike rental. Joke was very accommodating, and I reccommend (email hidden) when visiting Amsterdam.
My husband and I stayed in Joke's wonderful apartment for one week. It was our first Airbnb experience and we feel very fortunate to have connected with her. As others have said Joke is a kind, generous, welcoming host, and she really helps make your stay a great experience.
Joke's place was absolutely ideal for us. It is on the 4th floor so you (email hidden) and a great view. It has an elevator so you can decide if you want the extra exercise of the stairs or take an easy ride on the lift. From her balcony you can sit amid her lovely plants and watch the bustle below. But when you are ready to sleep it is nice and quiet--my husband is a light sleeper and had no problems!
We had planned to rent bicycles and get around town that way (my husband and I are avid cyclists). But Joke's apartment is located just around the corner from Leidseplein, and we found it was so convenient and easy to walk everywhere (or take the tram or bus from Leidseplein for longer distances) that we never got around to getting bikes.
We loved our time spent in Amsterdam and Joke's place a great part of our vacation. Her apartment will be number one on our list for any return visits. Thank you Joke!
