Bill graciously welcomed us, and supplied us well with firewood and bug spray! He also provided useful information about the area. This cabin is very close to both Charlottesville and the town of Crozet.
An absolutely fantastic experience! Roseanne was very welcoming when we arrived. It happened to be the 4th of July, so her and her husband Bill were gracious enough to invite us to their cookout! Their friends and other families staying on their property were also there. Everyone couldn't have been nicer. We weren't able to stay in Charlottesville long, so we plan to come back. When we do, we'll definitely be staying at Bill and Roseanne's cabin again!!
Roseanne and Bill's cabin is a hidden gem in the Blue Ridge Mountains. They made my wife and me feel very welcome. This is a rustic cabin but has everything you need.
The views of the mountain were spectacular, and it was so relaxing to look out at them while having breakfast sitting on the Adirondack chairs or chilling out in front of the fire pit.
We loved staying a short drive from Charlottesville, Monticello, wineries, breweries and hiking trails. We will definitely be back.
The views are absolutely stunning and the hosts were very kind and hospitable. The cabin, while small, was tastefully decorated with clean white fluffy towels and robes and goodies and minimal decorations. The pool (available 10-noon) is amazing and I think the views, the pool and getting to sit out by the fire pit and watch the sunset each night were the highlights! Thank you!
Roseanne and Bill were wonderful hosts! They were very welcoming and I made real friends that I will definetly be back to visit. The view was also very breathtaking! What a wonderful place to visit.
My daughter and I sought a mountain retreat to escape the stifling heat of the city. We were very pleased to find Roseanne and Bill Bailey's place off the Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park in Crozet. We stayed in the double-pen log house on the property, updated for comfort, and wonderfully appointed. Sitting with our morning coffee, overlooking the valley, with blue mountain peaks behind. It was beautiful and serene.
Our hosts were very open, gracious and very prompt with communications, making the logistics of our visit very easy. We would like to come back again when we have more time to explore the retreat and to learn more about the history of the area and the Bailey family.
Everything was as advertised. Perfect hosts. The mountain side view is beautiful. The pool was an added bonus on a hot day.
