A very comforting stay in a nice clean modern apartment. Stephen was very welcoming and helpful as a host. All the necessary facilities close by, with decent shops, restaurants and bars. Thoroughly recommended!!
Nice apartment, warm hospitality. The apartment is in a peripheral area, but it is well connected ( ~ half an hour to Oxford Circus).
The apartment in located in north of London. The Southall's area doesn't show very well, but in reality it's a quiet and well served (there are a small shops with cheap prices ). In 5/10 minutes a walk there are a train station that is connected with Paddington Station (and by tube you can go in more important areas of London). The apartment is newly built, very conforyable and clean (sheets and towels very clean). The Host is very friendly and helpful.
Wonderful room, great host! Next time in London we would love to stay at his house!
Stephen was a great host.
He was quiet and considerate and we never felt that we were in his way while sharing the kitchen and bathroom together.
The house was modern clean and safe and we would recommend it to anyone.
Stephen was a great host, he was very quick on responding to my last minute request, his flat was immaculate, would highly recommend to others,
To be definitive, a review of a “Modern double, Little India, London” requires three reviews. The first review should be for the accommodation, the second would be for the location and the final review would be for the host.
As for the accommodation, the “modern double” is in fact new construction of less than one year and equipped with a secure electromagnetic sensor Lock for the entry door and the room was very clean and virtually soundproof. Similarly, the features of the bath and kitchen are new and both areas clean.
Secondly, although central London may be a desirable location for a holiday, the efficient rail transport from Southall makes the commute a pleasant way to start and end your day. Another advantage is the frequent rail and bus service to Heathrow. The quick commute makes your arrival and departure less of a challenge. Needless to say, it is quite an unexpected pleasure spending a few nights in “Little India” where the majority of the community has its roots in India, Pakistan, and Somalia etc.
Finally, our host Steven was totally helpful and considerate. He provided all of the useful information about the area and getting around the city. He also conveyed a genuine welcome, respect and kindness.
I hope to visit again.
Beautiful room and apartment. Wrote out detailed instructions on how to get around and everything we needed to know for the area we were staying in. Stephen was very nice and gracious host, and I regret that we were only staying for one night. Wish we had stayed longer.
The appartement is absolutely wonderful! Super comfortable king size bed, great living room and a chance to see the little India! We tried really some really nice restaurant at walking distance from the flat. Steve was really kind. He took the time to chat, to explain everything and to give us great tips. We loved it!!! It's a must!
This was an extremely last minute booking- we got bumped from a flight at Heathrow and had to find a place to stay for the night so we could go back early the next morning. Stephen's place was just a cheap bus ride from the airport, and he allowed us to book for the same day we arrived at the apartment. The apartment is adorable, very clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. We cooked dinner and found everything we needed. Stephen was very nice and responsive. Also, the neighborhood is full of great Indian food (might I suggest Humani's- they were awesome and so kind!). I highly recommend his place if you have a flight out of Heathrow.
