Beautiful Victorian house located in great neighborhood less than a mile from downtown Northampton and 1/2 mile from Smith College.
Perfect house to rent for graduation or alumni weekends! Located right across the street from the Quad area where Smith commencement activities take place so you don't even have to drive!
3 large bedrooms with double beds (2 real beds, 1 very comfortable futon), 1 living room with large wrap-around couch, sitting chair and flat-screen TV, kitchen with dining area, 2 full baths and a laundry room. As of November 2013, the house has a brand new heating system so you will be very cozy in the colder months!
For the warmer months, you can enjoy the outside deck with gas grill, large backyard with gardens and sitting area, as well as a 2nd floor sun porch with a pull-out couch.
Off-street parking for up to 4 cars as well as ample street parking. Also walking distance to PVTA bus line and Peter Pan/Greyhound bus terminal.
Please note that as this is an old Victorian house, the staircases are a bit steep and narrow!
This is the perfect rental for a large group visiting Northampton. The house is located close to downtown and Smith, but its immediate neighborhood is quiet and homey. We were very comfortable and the homeowners responded quickly to our questions.
Lily was a very communicative and welcoming host. I booked the house well in advance of our stay, and she was very responsive to questions that came up from time to time. I was in Northampton for the weekend with a group of friends for a wedding, and her house was the perfect place to stay. The neighborhood is super cute, and a pretty quick ~1 mile walk into town (or a bit more if you go on the lovely path along the river). I would highly recommend staying here!

Great house! We had everything we needed, plenty of space for 6 adults and the yard is gorgeous. We enjoyed our stay!
The house was just as we expected, and in a great location next to Smith College. Lily was very accessible, and we had no issues finding the place or getting in on our first day. We didn't have much time to spend there, but I would definitely stay again.
Lily left us detailed instructions about where to park, how to access her house, and any other info we might need. The home was clean and comfortable. It got a little chilly at night, especially on the 3rd floor. It was one of the first cold days of the season, however, and once under the covers, we slept comfortably. Great weekend lodging for three couples.
Great place for a group of 4-7. Large and open living / dining / kitchen space, plus the patio and back yard were perfect for hanging out with everyone. Note that as promised in the listing title, it is an old Victorian house, so the stairs up to the bedrooms are a bit narrow and steep. Might be a challenge for my elderly grandmother to stay there. But for everyone else it's a pretty good setup with a good, quiet location. I would rent again when my family visits Northampton.

I love exploring new places and meeting new people. I'm an avid outdoors enthusiast and am the happiest when skiing powder and riding my mountain bike. But after a long day of adventures, I love to come home to a cozy, clean, organized house and cook up a nutritious meal.
