The whole house has been renovated recently. We keep it clean and tidy at all time. It's a small studio flat, we have to maximize the space in order to accommodate a kitchen and a living room.

About this listing

This small apartment has been kept as a second property for family use. After discovering Airbnb, we think this small apartment can connect us to a big world and meet people from all countries.
The house is situated in Kowloon City, a local neighborhood with unique characteristics. It's also a food haven. Over 200 hundred restaurants are found within a 5 minute walk.
Over 50 buses and minibuses will take you to literally anywhere in Hong Kong. Subway station, Lok Fu, is 12-min walk away.

The space

It is a tiny studio flat has everything of a home. Space has been utilized smartly to accommodate an open kitchen, a bathroom with shower and a sofa that is also a pull-out bed.

The 200 sq. ft. flat has a patio that is even bigger than the interior itself.

The old airport used to locate at Kowloon City. That's why most of buildings in this area are not tall due to aviation rule.

People live here, so you won't see hustling night spots in this area. It has character of its own.

Supermarket, shopping mall, wet market, convenience store, laundry, pharmaceutical, beauty parlors, banks, coffee shops, restaurants and specialty shops are plenty and literally at the doorstep.

Kowloon City is famous for food. There are more than 200 restaurants in this small neighborhood serving international and local cuisines. They are reasonably priced and popular among locals.

Recently Kowloon City has been given a nickname, Little Bangkok, because of its growing Thai community. Many restaurants serve authentic Thai food while a few of them specializes in Thai style barbecue.

Next to my apartment, there is a street, Lion Rock Road, with many shops selling export apparel. If you are lucky, you can find sample clothes of named brands at unbeatable price.

When you live here, you must visit the nearby Kowloon Walled City Park (5 minute walk only) which has preserved some very important historical monuments. The garden has been beautifully built to imitate a traditional Chinese garden.

If you need to stick to daily jogging and swimming routine, the huge Kowloon Tsai Park is just nearby (5 minute walk).

Although there is no subway train in Kowloon City, there are many buses and minibuses serving the area. However, if you insist using subway, the nearest station (Lok Fu) is in 12-minute walking distance. It is already a far distance in our standard as we are spoiled by superb infrastructure.

Airport Bus A22 can take you directly to Kowloon City. Even if you walk slowly, it takes you only 8 minutes from where you take off to go to my flat. I'll email you a detailed instruction after your booking confirmation.

We don't have an elevator in the building. Lucky that the flat is on the first floor.

Guest access

Everything in the house is there for your enjoyment. Towels, disposable slippers, toilet amenities, snacks, soda drinks, instant coffee, tea, instant noodles, cereal and even coins for your small transactions.

Interaction with guests

I am happy to communicate with my guests by email, instant messaging apps, text and phone.

Other things to note

During your stay, you'll be provided with a smartphone which also functions as a hotspot for WiFi sharing. You don't need to buy your own phone and data card.

Bill is an amazing host who makes you feel welcome. We checked in early to leave our luggage there so we could go out exploring. We met Bill across the road where he treated us to dim sim with the lovely guests who were staying at Bill's before us. The apartment is very clean and has everything you need. There is even a mobile phone that you can take out with you when you need to use data. It's located in a great local area with many good places to eat and is easy to get to Mong Kok and other tourist destinations. Staying at Bill's helped make our Hong Kong experience unforgettable. We would highly recommend Bill's place to anyone travelling to Hong Kong.

Bill is a very attentive host. He would ask us where we would be visiting everyday and give us the directions. His place is highly accessible to all places via the buses. And a thoughtful touch from Bill, a local mobile phone which allows you to contact him effortlessly and installed with the transportation apps. For all the foodies, his airbnb flat is the BEST! Surrounded by authentic HK eateries within 5 min walking distance. There are local Chinese dessert shop (same building) , HK tea cafe, western cafe, soya bean milk shop and a old school bakery which sells monthwatering eggtarts (my fav is the flaky pastry ones )!

Bill is very committed to his clients and tries to make everything easy. One of the most useful things is the 3g phone provided at home. The apartment itself is pretty basic and stretch for 2 tall people but cozy at the same time. The location is ok if you wanna explore Kowloon, but for HK Island is a bit far away and you need about 45 mins to cross by bus and ferry. We didnt feel like being in HK but so deep in Kowloon ( where the studio actually is). If you want to be close to the big buildings zone this is not the place to be, as it is located in a very local neighbourhood with lot of small streets.
