The kitchen is well equipped with an oven and a dishwasher. There is one seperate double room and another double bed in the open vide (in the living room). We have a beautiful bathroom with a walk in shower and a bath tube and two washing tubes.
Amsterdam is a beautiful, vibrant and easy going city. It has everything to offer which you might expect from a capital city: shopping in the little exquisite stores in the popular district The Jordaan, cruising through Amsterdam's famous canals, world famous museums like Anne Frank House and Van Gogh, architecture, dining in one of the numerous restaurants (and terraces). You might want to go to one of the theaters or concert halls. It is big enough to offer a large number of museums. On the other hand it still has the right size to go by foot (or bike) and get a feel of the place. We know for sure you will love Amsterdam as much as we do.
The appartment is situated in the city center and is on walking distance to a lot of interesting sites. For instance the Museum Square with its Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk museum (modern art), the Hermitage and the Van Gogh Museum. Also close is the Albert Cuyp market, PC Hooftstraat and the Vondelpark, which is a perfect place for a relaxed afternoon. Especially during the summer season this is a melting pot of young creative 'Amsterdammers' enjoying live music, picknicks and sports.
Our home is also close to Prinsen-, Keizers and Herengracht with their lovely views and to the Amstel river and the Hermitage (Russian museum). All the famous attractions are close any way. We mention Anne Frank House, Royal Palace at the Dam Square, the Heineken brewery, Artis Zoo, the botanical garden. Amsterdam has numerous very good restaurants from very cheap to expensive and of course (with 176 nationalties in town (from all cuisines of the world.
* It is easy to go to other cities as well. We mention: The Hague, Utrecht, Delft, Leiden, Rotterdam. * Also easy to to to Alkmaar, Edam or Gouda, famous of their cheese markets. The beach is only a half an hour by train.
* Fast and easy access to public transport (for directions within Amsterdam, to Schiphol and for day trips out of Amsterdam.
* Of course we have internet access in our appartment.
* We can give you all the information you'll need (also beforehand by e-mail) and like to help you out with questions you might have.
* We speak English and understand German.

"We stayed a week at Richarda and Leo’s flat during Christmas holidays…and we couldn’t find a better accommodation! The flat was absolutely over our expectations: quiet, comfortable, lighty,
elegant and very well equipped. They did a lot to make the most of our holidays since they provided us with tourist brochures, museum cards and transport cards.
We are beginners with Homexchange and this experience has convinced us that this is a marvellous way to visit the world ! Thanks again for everything!"

“We had a wonderful short holiday in spring 2012 in Amsterdam.
Richarda and Leo are really nice people. They gave us an excellent feeling in their house and took excellent care of our home. Their home is very comfortable and it has a very good location in the centre of Amsterdam.
We do not hesitate to give our best recommendations to this family and their home.

It was our first time to Amsterdam and we really loved this place.
Richarda and Leo did the best for us. Their home is a modern and comfortable loft in a well located place. They leave on the table a lot of information about the city like places to visit, restaurants ,shopping and transportation.
It´s a nice city with a lot to see. The museums are so nice. It is a romantic place with the channels.
We are thankful for our hosts.
