I had a great stay on this boat. The boat is very nice and comfortable. It is situated in quiet area but very close to the touristy areas and to the central station.
The boat is exactly like in the pictures.
There was a small mixup with my arrival time but the friend of the host's quickly got there and cleaned the place up.
Would definitely stay there again.
Small note: the stairs to get into the boat are very narrow and steep. If you have a large heavy suitcase, it's a bit of work to get it down and up. Same if you have mobility issues.
There may not be anything better than staying on a houseboat in Amsterdam. The boat is very cool looking but the inside is absolutely beautiful, a complete luxury escape. The space is very large with a good seating area and good kitchen space. The bedroom is huge and the bed is extremely comfortable. The bathtub is lovely. Hanging out on the deck is also a great experience and you get to enjoy the view, the close by clock and waive at the quiet tour boats that go by. The location is also perfect, there is a grocery store and liquor store close by and you are only a few minute walk to the central section of town, the red light district surrounded by bars, coffeshops and more. Staying just outside of that area guarantees you a quiet and peaceful stay. Hester was great and was very accommodating. We were running a few minutes late and she gave us directions on how to get into the boat. It was an amazing stay, I highly recommend it.
The boat was wonderful and made a fantastic base for our weekend in Amsterdam.
It felt like a very big space and we thought was even better than the photos.
Check in and out was also very easy and contact with Hester was good. We would recommend Hester's boat for anyone visiting Amsterdam.
Wow - what a fantastic place to stay in Amsterdam. This was my first experience with Airbnb, and what a great experience it was. Central location, great facilities, beautiful Dutch barge to stay on. It made me feel less of a tourist and more like a local. Just perfect. I'm missing the place already and will be sure to return soon. Thanks Hester!
