  • We had a great stay at Treetops! Cabin was located in a beautiful mountain community- very secluded and serene- a great place to get away, relax, and unwind. Cabin was fully stocked and clean- we loved the wood burning stove as it got chilly at night! Many great hikes and rivers to kayak nearby. We will definitely be back!

    Response from Jon:

Come back anytime Whitney. There is plenty more to explore on this beautiful mountain.

  • John's place is fantastic. It feels incredibly remote but is not far from town and on the same road as the beautiful Black Rock State Park. We stayed here to visit Tallulah Gorge and loved it! We will be back.

Thanks Michael and Hilary. Come back anytime. There are still plenty of trails waiting for you.

  • We had a fabulous time during our few days at the Treetops. There is much to do in the area but we also thoroughly enjoyed relaxing out on the porch or next to the lovely fireplace. The pictures really do not do it justice! Jon always responded quickly to any of our questions and provided us with all the information we could need about the house and the area. I would highly recommend staying at Treetops anytime of year! Thanks Jon!

  • Staying at Treetops was absolutely fantastic. My friend and I went for the first part of our spring break, and we had a great time. The cabin is adorably decorated, and the location was great. It's also fully stocked with games and all the cookware you might need. Jon's directions were also great - we found it in the dark! One bad part was that we didn't realize Black Rock Mountain State Park would be closed for the winter season; it was to open back up just a week or so after we left. But we found plenty to do, from Jon's recommendations and just exploring the area. We recommend going into Clayton and hitting up Granny's Kuntry Kitchen. It's got some great southern food and the people are really nice.

Overall, we had a great time, and we're already making plans to go back!

  • My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time! Cabin was wonderful and remote and relaxing. For the price it was a steal and Jon was helpful with directions and giving us ideas of places to visit. I will probably be going back soon! Thanks again Jon!

  • We loved the cabin, very much like described, pretty easy to find, close to hiking in Black Rock Mountain State Park and Tallullah Gorge.
Thanks for a great weekend! Also loved the flexibility during check-in and check-out.

  • Me and my wife spent a few days at Treetops and has a blast. It was the perfect get away that we wanted. In fact, we left the Clayton area thinking of who we could bring back up there with us next time. Jon was in contact with us, not in a bothersome way, just checking in with us through email to make sure we had everything we needed. He even took the time to recommend a few places that we should check out in the area, and his suggestions did not disappoint. I cannot say enough about our weekend spent at Treetops. We will definitely go back there.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Jon's beautiful cabin located in North GA. The home was very clean and had everything to stay comfortably. Lots of places located close by to visit such as the Black Rock state park which is Georgia's highest state park. It has beautiful views of the Blue ridge mountains, lots of trails.

Jon was very helpful providing very useful information on the area and always there to help if you have an issue. We hope to go back some time soon.

  • Great place, great location. Jon provided excellent instructions over email. We had no problems getting there and letting ourselves in, and enjoyed being so close to Black Rock Mountain SP and far away from everything else!

  • My mom and I had a great time at Treetops. We came at the first early days of fall (getting cold) so we made a fire in the night and the morning - a great way to fall asleep and wake up! Everything was there that we needed - even a TON of firewood! It was so quiet and peaceful - we sat on the porch swing and watched the sun go down the first night. We're already talking about coming back. Jon was great as well.

About
I'm an easy going adventurist who is always looking for a place to get away. Most of my vacations involve some sort of excitement or activity, such as scuba diving, spear fishing, snow boarding, or hiking. But my cabin is where I go to recharge. I enjoy writing short stories and enjoying great food complimented by craft beers.
