Really enjoyed the cabin. It was awesome to be able to access the hiking trails at Black Rock Mountain right from the front door. The cabin had everything we needed.
Our family loved the location of the house. It was convenient to all the activities we had planned for our vacation. We would definitely return.
Treetops was a wonderful retreat for our two 2+1 families over Mother's day weekend. There was so much light coming in the front room it was almost like not being inside. Loved it. Plenty of space for the kids to play out of the deck and we were oh so close to great hiking and biking. We were able to walk out the door and on up to the top on Black Rock Mountain. We also discovered some of the best mountain biking in the NGa within 20 min. Our dog loved it too, especially since he could relax out of the deck and watch the birds and we knew the the deck gate would keep him from running off after a deer. Certainly on our list for a return...I'm thinking Fall would be perfect as well!
Had a wonderful stay at Jon's cabin for two nights. It was cozy and perfectly kept. It's location next to Black Rock Mountain State Park meant we started a wonderful hike right from the front door. Traveled with young children, and they loved it. The bench swing on the porch was a favorite for them. As a host, Jon was easy to communicate with. He provides a map to the place, and plenty of suggestions to for activities near the cabin. Next time we will stay for longer!
Jon Krone was an excellent host. This cabin is really up in the mountains and that is exactly where we were hoping it would be. In the mountains, but accessible to everything within 20 mins. This also meant it was slightly off the normal roads so a quick call to John helped our poor navigation skills (we over complicated it.)
The home had more than we needed... firewood, charcoal, beds, etc. We still brought most of this stuff and restocked what we used for the next person!
The place was clean, and had a real cabin feel to it. We were able to feel at home in the first night, unfortunately that also made for a sad departure.
We had a fantastic time and HIGHLY recommend John and his cabin. This was my first time using AirBNB and thanks to John it was wit great success!
We had a great time at Tree Tops. The weather was great and the cabin was perfect. Jon was great at providing us directions and hiking recommendations. The place easily housed us all and we had a great fall break thanks to Jon's help. Will stay again.
Jon was an amazing host. He was quick to respond through AirBnB or email the whole time we were there, and he did a great job making us feel right at home. The Treetops cabin is extremely cozy and well stocked with firewood, pots and pans, and plenty of clean towels. We've stayed at many cabins, and this was one of the cleanest cabins we've seen. Jon recommended some great places to eat and see and overall, we had a great time. We will definitely be coming back in the future.
About the Host, Jon
I'm an easy going adventurist who is always looking for a place to get away. Most of my vacations involve some sort of excitement or activity, such as scuba diving, spear fishing, snow boarding, or hiking. But my cabin is where I go to recharge. I enjoy writing short stories and enjoying great food complimented by craft beers.
