Built in early 1920s and newly remodeled in 2009, Outer Richmond Bed & Breakfast is a traditional Victorian style, 3-story single family house with classic features, conveniently located in the heart of Richmond districts. The geographic features of the Home are 10 minutes walking distance to the north of worldly famous Golden Gate Park and one of the 49 miles scenic areas in San Francisco.
The B&B facility is an independent unit with a private entrance and is filled with delightful California sunlight, or “romantic” sea fog, depending on the unique microclimate forecast. The B&B unit consists of a huge living room with a classic fireplace, a dining area, a complete kitchen, and two large and bright bedrooms w/ individual bathrooms, and one of the bedrooms attached to a size-able balcony. Daily continental breakfast is provided between 6am and 9am, coffee/tea/snacks/light refreshment/WiFi are available throughout the day.
The neighborhood reflects an unique cultural diverse population in San Francisco, far beyond the remaining city. Russian supermarkets, Italian restaurants, newly acquired Chinatown (Clement Street), many Asian ethnic (Korea, Singapore, Thai, Japanese, Burma, Vietnamese) and authentic cuisines and delicacies, Irish bakery and pubs are all spread out within a stretch of 1 to 2 miles. Don't be surprised if you can hear 5 different languages within a block or two of distance. Meanwhile, this area sustains a strong family oriented atmosphere with multiple religious churches and temples, and daycare centers and grade schools and senior centers.
There are street parking in the areas. The alternate option of transportation tool is Muni, a city public transportation system promised riders not to walk more than a mile to your destination, that is only 20 minutes to SF downtown, Union Square, Cable Car and many tourist points. As mentioned, the Richmond area being one of most enduring marketing ploys is the historical sightseeing spot itself.
Non-smoking, no pet, no on-premise parking
Andrea was a gracious host and her flat was clean and comfortable. The front room was spacious and a relaxing way to begin or end your day The neighborhood is very quiet yet we walked to the Haight and Golden Gate Park. Andrea left breakfast goodies that can either serve as your first meal of the day or tide you over until you find that perfect brunch spot. I think it would be great to return with friends and rent both rooms, hence the entire flat. I wouldn't hesitate to rent again. Thank you Andrea!
Andrea was a fantastic host! She was extremely quick to respond both during the booking process and during our stay and was able to easily accommodate our late arrival and departure times without any problems. She was very friendly and made every effort to ensure we were comfortable during our stay. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, bright, comfortable, and charmingly decorated. In addition to our large room, we had our own full bathroom, making our room feel like a private retreat even when the apartment is shared with other guests. Andrea's place is in a quiet, safe neighborhood convenient to Golden Gate Park, the Presidio, public transit, and a number of excellent places to eat. Andrea provided breakfast for us each morning of baked goods, fruit, yogurt, and coffee, which was a unique and very much appreciated touch. Our experience with her was excellent, and the next time we find ourselves traveling back to SF we will surely try to book with her again.
This was our first experience using Air B&B and if they are all as good as this, we'll never stay in a hotel again! Andrea's lodging is spacious, very clean, and quiet. Andrea is thoughtful, professional and attentive. We asked for a fan (for the white noise) and Boom! She appeared with a fan within minutes. We asked if she happened to have a crib for our 10 month old and, of course, she had one ready to go in our room. The home is very close to Golden Gate Park, the muni, and delicious restaurants. We had a wonderful stay and couldn't ask for more.
The room was beautiful. Clean, tidy, ensuite and with privacy. The location is not bad but is not easy to find parking nearby mainly in the night. Breakfast is help yourself so it is very convenient. Very close bus line 38 direct to SF downtown. We did not run into Andrea but she was looking after us when we arrived.
We had a great stay in SF. Andrea's flat ist clean, quiet and has cool furniture. We felt very comfortable with the great space. Andrea arranged all very well ... Thank you!
The room, home, and neighborhood are a quiet and relaxing spot from the lively city. It is conveniently located near the Golden Gate Park and nearby neighborhood markets. Andrea made my stay easy by giving me an ideal parking spot. The coffee, fruit, and yogurt were helpful for getting the day started. Her home is exceptionally clean and roomy with artistic Asian influences. I hope to return one day.
