The Space

Built in early 1920s and newly remodeled in 2009, Outer Richmond Bed & Breakfast is a traditional Victorian style, 3-story single family house with classic features, conveniently located in the heart of Richmond districts. The geographic features of the Home are 10 minutes walking distance to the north of worldly famous Golden Gate Park and one of the 49 miles scenic areas in San Francisco.

The B&B facility is an independent unit with a private entrance and is filled with delightful California sunlight, or “romantic” sea fog, depending on the unique microclimate forecast. The B&B unit consists of a huge living room with a classic fireplace, a dining area, a complete kitchen, and two large and bright bedrooms w/ individual bathrooms, and one of the bedrooms attached to a size-able balcony. Daily continental breakfast is provided between 6am and 9am, coffee/tea/snacks/light refreshment/WiFi are available throughout the day.

The neighborhood reflects an unique cultural diverse population in San Francisco, far beyond the remaining city. Russian supermarkets, Italian restaurants, newly acquired Chinatown (Clement Street), many Asian ethnic (Korea, Singapore, Thai, Japanese, Burma, Vietnamese) and authentic cuisines and delicacies, Irish bakery and pubs are all spread out within a stretch of 1 to 2 miles. Don't be surprised if you can hear 5 different languages within a block or two of distance. Meanwhile, this area sustains a strong family oriented atmosphere with multiple religious churches and temples, and daycare centers and grade schools and senior centers.

There are street parking in the areas. The alternate option of transportation tool is Muni, a city public transportation system promised riders not to walk more than a mile to your destination, that is only 20 minutes to SF downtown, Union Square, Cable Car and many tourist points. As mentioned, the Richmond area being one of most enduring marketing ploys is the historical sightseeing spot itself.

  • Even though San Francisco is one of the most expensive places we stayed at as AirBnBlers - at Andreas place we've got the best value for our money. Her place is just amazing - super spacious and comfy room, charming interior and a wonderful neighborhood. And on top there was this 'good morning bakery service' - yummie!
Andrea itself is a super friendly host - she handled our last minute call just perfect.

  • Better than any hotel! Spacious, clean, well supplied with snacks, everything you need to feel at home. Andrea was very helpful and saved us a parking spot just in front of the apartment. I recommend this BnB very highly. The only reason you might have to not stay here is if you prefer to be more centrally-based, but the area around the apartment is lively and has plenty of shops and restaurants.

  • Andrea is a fantastic host, super helpful with everything - especially accommodating our one year old. The common area is massively spacious, and Andrea bakes fresh scones/bread/treats for the mornings! Amazing. I'm so happy we stayed at Andrea's, it's better than any hotel we've stayed in. We'll definitely be staying there again when we next return to SF.

  • I booked Andrea's place for my limited-English speaking friends from Switzerland. They had planned on just spending the night there and stay with us during the day They seemed to adopt their home in no time in a "see you later we are going home (to andrea) kind of way". Two thumbs up.

  • Perfect place to stay. Comfortable bed, quiet and the homemade scones delicious! Andrea Leung graciously welcomed us offering beverages and fruit. The bus stop is around the corner and many restaurants in the community. The living area is very nice with good light and the kitchen nook offered a convenient place to catch up on the internet. Don't look any with ANDREA LEUNG in the Richmond District!
