We call it the Tiger Room but really, it's a work of art. It includes a queen-sized bedroom, living room/listening station, kitchenette, bathroom and two queen-sized sleeper couches, private entrance and off-street parking. Tiger Apartment? Sure. Or just the Tiger Room... But say it with a twinkle in your eye and smirk on your lips.

The space
This is the basement of my house. It's been converted into an apartment with a private entrance, private shower and private bedroom. Considering all of the talented craftsmen (and women) who helped transform the space into a kick-ass AirBnB, I like to think of the Tiger Room as a work of art. So please, come spend the night in my work of art.

Guest access
You'll have full run of the entire space with the exception of the laundry room and the stairwell that leads upstairs to the rest of the house. Both doors are marked PRIVATE. By the way, the lock on the stairwell door makes a loud noise when people try to open it. It clanks and echoes up the stairwell to our part of the house and can be disturbing to my son and I, especially in the middle of the night! Strangely, this is only an issue when guests have been drinking. Some people think they can open the door by jerking it but all this does is create a racket!

We are grateful to the 97% of guests who don't try to jerk the PRIVATE door open in the middle of the night!

Other things to note
Transportation to and from Seatac Airport is easy with light rail. Choose between Husky Stadium and any downtown station, both downtown Seattle and Husky Stadium are equidistant from the Tiger Room so take your pick, then take a bus, Uber or Lyft the remaining 3-4miles to and from light rail. Light rail to and from the airport is about $3/person and takes about 45 minutes from Seatac to downtown and vice versa.

It's also worth noting that this neighborhood has been newly christened "the Brewery District" because of our many breweries. By "many," I mean more than a dozen... all within a mile, or what is more commonly known as "stumbling distance."

This in addition to a bevy of restaurants, bars and coffee shops, too numerous to mention here. Besides, it's all carefully detailed in the guidebook which is waiting for you in the Tiger Room.

I'm a struggling filmmaker and single dad. I like meeting new people, making new friends and hearing people's stories. Not to worry though, nothing that you do or say will ever end up in one of my films... or will it!?
During your stay
Consider the space your own. I'll be there if you need anything but otherwise, I'll stay out of your way. I want you to enjoy your time in the Tiger Room.
