We had such a lovely time at the Airstream! When we arrived, tired and hot, Murray invited us to take a dip in the pool to cool off. The airstream had everything we needed - and it was a welcome spot to return to after a long day at the beach. In the morning, we awoke to the sounds of the horses grazing outside the window. It was super relaxing and a beautiful way to spend a few days. Thank you for everything!
Murray met and welcomed us when we drove up the driveway and provided directions to our little campsite. It was a short distance up the hill from the main house on a narrow dirt road (good thing we were in my boyfriend's AWD SUV). We saw his goats and horses upon arrival, which was great!
The airstream trailer was adorable and tidy. We arrived on a pretty hot day, so unfortunately, the temperature in the airstream was high, but we were able to cool down at the pool located at the main house.
Later on, back at the trailer we sat in our lawn chairs watching the sunset and playing cards. It was a nice, tranquil escape.
Murray was extremely welcoming, and the set up was just as described. Unfortunately we had to bail on our second night because we were a little ambitious bringing a nine month camping, but I am so glad we tried. it was a great experience regardless.
Amazing experience! The perfect oppurtunity to experience nature in the comfort of an airstream trailer! Very relaxful stay! The land yacht was very clean and included everything that you could need! We also felt very welcome upon arrival so extra plus for that!
This place is something special. We had a fabulous time away from the hustle and bustle of life. The set up is great! We loved the star gazing chairs!
Magical night in the airstream! Thank you! The goats and horses came to visit, the property is beautiful and I definitely hope to return again. My Prius did get a little stuck on the steep gravel path up there but the whole experience was what I had hoped for and more. The airstream itself is comfortable and had everything you need.
We really enjoyed our one night stay here, it was very relaxing up in the mountains and Murray was kind and helpful. We'd definitely recommend it as a cool place to stay in Malibu.

About the Host, Murray & Kay
My wife and I are Christian, semi-retired film industry people who thrive on adventure and meeting interesting people. Over the past 13 years I've restored several vintage Airstream trailers and consider them the ultimate in camping comfort. One of my restorations now actually resides in Japan!
We used to love to travel and camp in our 1957 'FLYING CLOUD' AIRSTREAM but now enjoy allowing others to share the experience without the hassle of driving, towing and fighting for a spot in a crowded and noisy campground. We live on a 20+ acre ranch property (with some overly friendly goats, dogs and horses) in the Santa Monica Mountains- surrounded by thousands of acres of open space and direct access to the famous Backbone Trail, which is renowned for hiking, horseback and mountain bike riding. We are also only 6 miles from the glorious beaches of Malibu. Our hilltop location is the perfect deluxe camping experience, with ocean views, and base to enjoy this unique mountain range and Mediterranean climate which occurs in only 6 places in the world.
