small Double Room in lovely Townhouse in quiet residential neighbourhood S'th side (no noise so good for sleeping) but just 3.5 miles/5km from Dublin centre. Continental breakfast available (self-service).

Guests are welcome to use the modern kitchen/dining room, relax in the living-room, and have access to a sunny back-garden, also for smoking there only. Space for car-parking.

Convenient for nearby beautiful city villages of Terenure and Rathgar which have great choice of bars and restaurants for those wanting a better value alternative to slightly over-priced city centre; also convenient for the M50 motorway (and Airport).

Attractive Public Park behind the house - good for walks and chilling-out after a tough day in the city !. Larger Public Park with running track - 15 minutes walk. Shopping centre 5 mins walk from house.
Kimmage is one of the oldest parts of Dublin city and has a strong community feel and positive vibe. The famous and historically beautiful 'Mount Argus Church' and cemetery is nearby. Distinguished 'Rathfarnham Castle' near Terenure is 10 mins drive.
When you have finished your city sight-seeing I recommend you take a trip along the north Dublin coast line to beautiful village of Howth and Howth Hill (via DART Train) to enjoy the walks, nature reserve and panoramaic views across Dublin Bay. Also take the same DART train along the South coast line to Dalkey or Bray Town (c 45 minutes) and enjoy incredible scenic beauty both there and along the coastel route . A day trip a little further south to County Wicklow (the "Garden of Ireland") is also recommended and specifically the historical site of Glendalough and The National Park in the wicklow hills (appx 1.5 hours by Bus)(URL HIDDEN)My objective is to make your stay here as comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable as possible and to share a little of my knowledge of Dublin and its surroundings with you.

Kimmage is one of the oldest parts of Dublin city and has a great community vibe going on. It combines the traditional with the modern which I like. There are several historical sites to see and two Public Parks. There is also a Shopping Centre nearby
Yes, great choice of bus routes to the city centre (20 minutes off peak). No 9, No. 54a and No 83. No 17 to Blackrock on coast. No 18 to Rathmines, Ranelagh and Sandymount. Full Bus time-table provided
Other Things to Note
In some situtions for late evening arrivals I can arrange collections from the Airport to take you directly to Kimmage for a small fee.
Continental breakfast is available - cereal, orange juice, tea/coffee, breads, yoghurt, eggs (self-service).
No smoking in-doors please, no pets, no loud music late at night. No eating meals in bedroom. Lights and heating Off whilst not at home please. Cleanliness, mutual respect and common courtesy. Clean up after using kitchen facilities please. No eating of meals in bedroom. Other people that have not pre-booked in advance are not permitted to visit/stay overnight.
