Wow ! The apartment was fabulous ! Perfectly located in the center of the center, decorated with a lot of taste and very clean with very high ceilings. I highly recommend this place. The little balcony was very pleasant as well as the bathtub. The listing said air conditioning but it was just fans. Bernadette was very welcoming and she made sure we were comfortable. The double windows make a huge difference ! We had a great time. Thanks Bernadette !

Bernadette was extremely responsive and helpful with both booking and getting me settled into the apartment. Her son, especially, went above and beyond in answering my questions (he spoke English), despite being out of the country at the time. The apartment is great, exactly as in the photos, and the location is fabulous, centrally located with a beautiful street of lively cafes and bars below (noise isn't a problem once you close the doors). If you can't read French, make sure to have Bernadette give you an A/C demonstration - it was hard to sleep in the heat and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get it to stay on through the night.

I loved this apartment! I stayed here for a month and I wish I could have stayed longer. Bernadette was so nice and was waiting for me at the door when I arrived. The apartment is really spacious and clean and is in the best part of town! There are several great bars and restaurants downstairs but the double doors keep the apartment very quiet at night. I would definitely stay here again if work brought me back to montpellier.

We had a little trouble locating Bernadette (our fault, not hers!) but once we found her, the Apartment was impressive! She was very gracious and showed us around the apartment in a timely manner. The apartment is located in a bustling areas full of folks, cafes/bars and you can be as much a part of this (open the shutters!) or as little (close the shutters and it is silent) as you'd like. The rooms are specious, kitchen is nice, patio lovely and wifi fast! Bernadette was quick to respond questions and it was truly a pleasure to stay in this space in Montpelier! We stayed at four AirBnB's on our trip and this one (and Montpelier!) was one of our best times!!

This place was excellent, both in cleanliness and location! Colette met us and gave us the rundown. We didn't need anything throughout our stay (because we really had everything) but she made herself available to us. Spacious place. Big bathroom, large fridge by European standards for those staying longer. The couch is huge!! Perfect for napping or to comfortably sleep 2 more people. AC unit available although even in July we didn't use it. We used both table fans in the bedroom at night and simple opened doors/windows during day. The apartment doesn't get really any direct sun, so it stay in shade and lovely! The neighborhood was wonderful...very busy, very local, constant activity. There were maybe 8 or 9 cafes/bars immediately below apartment. The double pane windows ensured no outside noise came through at night. We personally enjoyed The Egg across from the apartment. Excellent beer selections, happy hour prices and music. It is a great bar with new owners (Sebastian and Olivia were incredibly fun and spoke English which was a plus). Easy walk from the apartment to everything!! We used the tram only to get to beach and airport. Walked everywhere else. We would recommend this place to anyone! Bernadette had a map with her favorite places that was so helpful. Thank you!

We were delighted with this lovely apartment in the perfect location in the old city area of Montpellier. We walked everywhere and enjoyed the setting and the updated apartment space. I recommend this apartment to any single person or couple travelling to Montpellier.

It was our first Airbnb rental and was for a whole month. Bernadette was waiting for us upon arrival and we were shown the amenities. She also came before we left on our last day. Response to text/email inquiries later was good as well. Maps and other brochures about the area which were left for us were very helpful. Shopping for groceries, wine, cheese, etc. is all within a short walk. The main room is large and has a small balcony looking out over several restaurants and bars below. Once the windows and shutters are closed, sound from that side was not an issue. There is a large sofa, which needs to be cleaned, one old and damaged easy chair and a tape with small stools and one folding chair. Furniture could be improved. Decor was simple and needs something on the walls. The bathroom is also quite large, but there is no shower curtain so you have to crouch in the tub with the hand-held shower head. Better towels and some face cloths would be nice too. The bed (mattress) was okay, but not great, although bed linens were good. The kitchen is small but new (Ikea) and efficient. All amenities are there (fridge, stove/oven, microwave, clothes washer, drying racks, iron, hair dryer, TV (was not working for the majority of our month there), Internet was good. The apartment is up a winding staircase with over 40 steps - not easy if you have luggage to carry or have any mobility challenges. We did find several more reasonable long-term rentals and would definitely consider that next time, but overall, we very much enjoyed our stay at Bernadette's in Montpellier.
