Location & Our Home
We are located in a highly desirable neighborhood in Mill Valley. We face the sun all day, and have great views of the mountain and trees. Our historic home was built in 1896 when the Tamalpais Land and Water Company sold the land. It is shown in turn of the century photographs. With loving care our home has been restored. It was built with redwood from the local area. The rooms in our home are quite large. The living room floor has quarter sawn oak and first harvest pine floors in the bedrooms. (A good reason we ask for shoes off in the house)
Parking is on street. We have about 35 stairs to walk up. Don't sweat it. We do it all the time, and with groceries.
Our property is lush with three apple trees, and one lemon. We pick the wild mint for tea, and cook with the wild rosemary, and sage in our garden. We grow vegetables too when it's hot enough. The backyard patio is a great place for coffee. We have a redwood tree and many California Oaks in our yard. We are lucky to have such a wonderful retreat right in heart of Mill Valley.
Enjoy a good night sleep, and wake to French press coffee, fruit, your choice of eggs, toast or oatmeal in our dining room, kitchen, or backyard. We use organic food whenever possible.
Breakfast is available from 7:30am to 8:30ish.
We do not allow our guests use of the kitchen except to put food in the refrigerator.
Clean, bright and beautiful.
The room is located on the second floor with dramatic views of the landscape.
The master bedroom has a comfortable queen bed. It is outfitted with Ralph Lauren sheets and a fabulous down comforter.
It has very comfortable Mitchell Gold chair, side table, reading lights, and a radio with alarm.
The sun porch. Please do NOT lean on the railing for your safety.
No food in the room please.

There are two bathrooms in our home. One is on the first level, and the other just outside your room. We may share it at night as we will be in the bedroom down the hall.
We believe in privacy so this should not be a problem.
