The carriage house is located above the garage, with stair access only. Beautifully styled, it will feel like a home away from home. Laundry and house-keeping service potentially available for longer stays and additional cost.

You will have access to free, secure wifi, off-street parking, cable, yoga mats, beach chairs and toys, fenced in yard space, and outdoor seating.

Kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, strainer, dishes, glasses, cutlery, corkscrew, can opener, teapot, coffeemaker, coffee grinder, filters for the coffeemaker, microwave, linen and paper towels, dishtowels, salt and pepper (and other seasonings).

Also provided are linens, towels (including beach towels), basic toiletries (in case you forget yours), hairdryer, iron and iron board, books, t.v., dvd player, board games and cards.

Walk to the community North Shore pool ($5) and tennis courts (free). Rent a kayak from down the street or a boat from the marina.

Interaction with guests

We can greet you when you arrive and if you like, share advice about where to go and what to do. The carriage house is above our garage. We live in the main house at the front of the property.

The neighborhood

Location, Location, Location!

Welcome to Old Northeast, St. Pete's most sought-after neighborhood. Walk to downtown, Vinoy (hosts outdoor events nearly every weekend), St. Pete, Marina, bars and restaurants, Sunken Gardens, corner stores/CVS, The Palladium, St. Petersburg Aquarium and Pier, Tropical Smoothie, Baywalk and Muvico 20, community tennis courts and swimming pool, and sand volley ball at a nearby Tampa Bay beach.

Catch a Tampa Bay Rays game at Tropicana Field, or cheer on our home town soccer team, the Rowdies at Al Lang Stadium. Shop at the Saturday (and Wednesday) Farmer's Market.

Visit the Salvador Dali Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg Museum of History, or Florida's Holocaust Museum.

Enjoy nearby kayaking, sailing, golfing, biking, sunbathing, and swimming. The apartment is also within a few miles of Publix, Sweetbay, Rolling Oats, Fresh Market, CVS, and Walgreens.

Getting around

The carriage house is walking or biking distance from nearly everything you could hope for. Quaint open-air trolleys (for $0.50) and buses are also available and within walking distance. It is right off the Pinellas Trail (a bike path that takes you to the Gulf coast beaches).

It is a twenty minute drive from Tampa International Airport and St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport, and walking distance from Albert Whitted Airport.

It is ten blocks from the interstate and a thirty minute drive to world famous beach destinations: Treasure Island, Clearwater Beach, and Fort de Soto.

Bike and kayak rentals are available nearby.

Other things to note

Owners live on the property in the main house. Saint Petersburg, Florida has some of the best weather in the U.S., it is sunny almost every day of the year.

There are almost always events or concerts going on every weekend: Honda Grand Prix; St. Anthony's Triathlon; Tampa Bay Blues Festival; Rib Fest. Concert venues Jannus Live (formerly, Jannus Landing) and State Theatre, as well as a number of local breweries, are walking distance.

There are myriad restaurants, galleries, boutiques, fitness centers, museums, cafes, and parks to walk or bike to. St. Pete has an ever-expanding bike sharing program.

The carriage house is in Historic Old Northeast, which is a landmark on the National Register of Historic Places, maintained by the U.S. National Park Service. Enjoy the area's unique architecture as you walk through the brick-lined neighborhood.

Since the carriage house is convenient to the interstate, other Tampa bay area attractions are just a short drive away: Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Busch Gardens; Ybor City and downtown Tampa.

Jacki was very responsive to any questions we had & we had a great time at Jacki's place. It's just as pictured. We found it a perfect 'home base' for our family while visiting St. Petersburg. Walking distance to Starbucks and restaurants, and a short drive to local beaches, or Tropicana Field. We thought the beach towels, beach chairs and sand toys were a great touch and we made good use of them. We would absolutely stay here again.
