The Neighborhood

Location, Location, Location!

Welcome to Old Northeast, St. Pete's most sought-after neighborhood. Walk to downtown, Vinoy (hosts outdoor events nearly every weekend), St. Pete, Marina, bars and restaurants, Sunken Gardens, corner stores/CVS, The Palladium, St. Petersburg Aquarium and Pier, Tropical Smoothie, Baywalk and Muvico 20, community tennis courts and swimming pool, and sand volley ball at a nearby Tampa Bay beach.

Catch a Tampa Bay Rays game at Tropicana Field, or cheer on our home town soccer team, the Rowdies at Al Lang Stadium. Shop at the Saturday (and Wednesday) Farmer's Market.

Visit the Salvador Dali Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg Museum of History, or Florida's Holocaust Museum.

Enjoy nearby kayaking, sailing, golfing, biking, sunbathing, and swimming. The apartment is also within a few miles of Publix, Sweetbay, Rolling Oats, Fresh Market, CVS, and Walgreens.

Getting around

The apartment is walking or biking distance from nearly everything you could hope for. Quaint open-air trolleys (for $0.50) and buses are also available and within walking distance. It is right off the Pinellas Trail (a bike path that takes you to the Gulf coast beaches).

It is a twenty minute drive from Tampa International Airport and St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport, and walking distance from Albert Whitted Airport.

It is six blocks from the interstate and a thirty minute drive to world famous beach destinations: Treasure Island, Clearwater Beach, and Fort de Soto.

Bike and kayak rentals are available nearby.

Other Things to Note

Owners live on (website hidden). Petersburg, Florida has some of the best weather in the U.S., it is sunny almost every day of the year.

There are almost always events or concerts going on every weekend: Honda Grand Prix; St. Anthony's Triathlon; Tampa Bay Blues Festival. Concert venues Jannus Live (formerly, Jannus Landing) and State Theatre are walking distance.

There are myriad restaurants, galleries, boutiques, fitness centers, museums, cafes, and parks to walk or bike to.

The apartment is in Historic Old Northeast, which is a landmark on the National Register of Historic Places, maintained by the U.S. National Park Service. Enjoy the area's unique architecture as you walk through the brick-lined neighborhood.

Since the apartment is convenient to the interstate, other Tampa bay area attractions are just a short drive away: Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers; Busch Gardens; Ybor City and downtown Tampa.

  • Jacki's place was quaint and ideally located. We were thankful to have the use of a full kitchen, and it was stocked with all of the major appliances that we needed to cook three meals per day. We did not meet Jacki, but she was quick to respond to any inquiries we had both before the rental period and during. She was very accommodating with any requests we had, and we did make a couple. The apartment was well stocked with extra towels and basic supplies as well as pamphlets for the area and local activities. We certainly enjoyed our weekend in St. Pete.

  • This is the second time we have rented Jacki's apartment in St. Pete. Once again, everything was as expected and as advertised. The apartment is well maintained, cozy, clean, stocked with all the essentials, and walking distance to everything downtown St. Pete has to offer. And, she even bought a new couch which made watching TV even more comfortable then before. I plan to rent this again next time I am in St. Pete.

  • My first airbnb experience. I was traveling alone on business and just tired of all the constant hotels. Jacki's place was exactly as expected from the pictures, nice, clean and perfect location. I did not meet Jacki but I actually preferred the privacy. Would definitely stay here again. Also to note, this place is a very sweet deal if traveling couples or family with kids. For the price of a hotel in st. petersburg you can get jackies two bedroom apartment. Again, great location. Not one complaint just being my first airbnb experience I have nothing to judge against so just 4/5 stars.

  • This was a comfortable, attractive small two-bedroom space apartment with a well-appointed kitchen. Everything was clean, the location was great and it lived up to its representation on the website. I liked Jacki's attention to environmentally-sound details.

  • A cozy, clean and comfortable spot that was everything I needed it to be. I was here for a couple of days for work and so access to parking (check), coffee and convenient shops (check) and close proximity to highways (check) for my morning routine and commute were all critical.

Jacki made check in and out easy and was a pleasure to deal with even though we never actually met in person.

I happily recommend this spot to others.

  • We had an understandable mixup when first arriving. The keycode we had didn't work. Our host was immediately responsive and we were able to get in promptly.

The place was a great two bedroom, and we loved the location.
