About this listing
Check out all my listings! :-) Please note, I don't accept reservations more than 3 months in advance...
This great little duplex is sunny, sweet & comfortable. The landmarked rowhouse is on a very quiet tree-lined residential street in Brooklyn's booming Greenpoint Historic District, on the riverfront just north of bustling Williamsburg. Walk to the Bedford "L" subway stop, or just a few blocks from the Greenpoint "G" stop. East River Ferry service (with multiple stops in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens) is ~5 blocks from the house, on the India St waterfront. Plenty of restaurants, bars, boutiques, cafes, galleries, banks, gyms, etc all within blocks.
I love this neighborhood, and you will too!
This duplex is located on the lower 2 levels of a historic rowhouse.
First floor: open living/kitchen area with full bath
Lower "Garden" floor: bedroom & laundry access
The bedroom has a full/double size bed, and the living room has a sleeper sofa. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, dishware & glassware, and linens are of course provided as well.
Window air conditioning unit & WiFi.
Everything at the house is quite self-explanatory!
Checkin at 2pm, checkout at 11am, though I do try to be accommodating with arrival & departure times so let's please coordinate directly.
Please make sure to recycle your trash; bags/receptacles will be provided: paper, regular trash, and glass/plastic/metal.
You are more than welcome to have your friends over and I certainly want you to make yourself at home and enjoy your stay, but please no big parties & no groups of total strangers :-) This is a historic neighborhood of rowhouses so please also be respectful of the neighbors, all of whom are very nice (close front door quietly rather than slamming, etc).
Have a wonderful visit!
We didn't meet our host unfortunately but she made e mail contact with us promptly and arranged pick up of the keys which all went very smoothly. This was our first attempt at using Airbnb and we were quite nervous how it would all work out.The neighbourhood is great, a quiet residential road, but close to shop, cafes etc also close to the G line a big plus.
A nice spacious apartment ideal for two people. I wouldn't like to have slept on the sofa bed as uncomfortable to sit on, but i am 59! the spiral staircase wouldn't be safe for any one with mobility problems.
It was our first stay in Brooklyn and we enjoyed staying at the Sweet Historic Greenpoint Duplex as it was around the corner from where our son lives. Directions for locating the key were clear and the duplex was as described. The location is convenient to the many restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood.
Great location! Beautiful, unique, spotless home. Maya made things so easy for us, even with her super busy schedule. Stay with her!
Was such a wonderful time at Maya's she was very helpful with our arrival and got us settled in nice and easily. Such a beautiful place in the heart of a great neighbourhood! We will look forward to coming back again soon!
Host very warm and friendly. Apartment in a relatively quiet pleasant neighbourhood within a reasonable walking distance of subway stations and east river ferry ports. Spacious living area upstairs; lots of storage space in downstairs bedroom. Would suit a couple.
Free wi-fi access with good download speed.
Maya's Greenpoint apartment was in a great neighbourhood close to lots of lovely restaurants and shops and a welcome respite from busy Manhattan, Greenpoint has a lovely village-y feel. The apartment itself contains some really lovely vintage finds. Communication between ourselves and Maya was great and she was really accommodating with our odd arrival and departure times. She even left a map of local stores and restaurants.
Maya was unfortunately out of town when my husband I arrived, but she gave detailed instructions on how to get into the apartment and left a really helpful map of Greenpoint (along with personal recommendations) to assist us during our stay. The location can't be beat. Only a 15 minute walk to everywhere I needed to be for my crazy bridesmaid itinerary. The layout is great, and Maya provided most essentials. The only con is that the basement (where the bedroom is) can get pretty warm, but that may be due to having to keep the dehumidifier on because NY has been getting a lot of rain. Overall, this was a great experience. I'm looking forward to staying at some of Maya's other properties next time we're in New York.
